"Jingwen," he murmured unconsciously, his breath carrying a faint scent of alcohol.
Jingwen shyly lowered her head, subtly avoiding his face even though she knew he was drunk, but such a pose was indeed blush-inducing.
"Jingwen," he kept calling softly, his lips brushing against her face as if they were barely there.
Jingwen's heart skipped a beat, and she lifted her head in nervousness or perhaps panic, only to meet his disapproving gaze, which made her pause.
"Jingwen, now that we've taken our vows, why do you still call me Big Brother Mo?" he asked.
In her nervousness, Jingwen blurted out, "My sister-in-law still calls my brother 'Brother Fu.'"
It had to be said, Jingwen was deeply influenced by her sister-in-law.
"But I would prefer to hear you call me husband," Mo Weiqin said to her earnestly.
Jingwen discreetly changed her tone, her voice so low it was almost inaudible, "Husband."
Mo Weiqin suddenly smiled and responded, "Wife."
