After pushing him back down to sit on the bed, she turned and left the room. While listening to the sound of her descending the stairs, Leng Zimo raised his hand to turn on the small lamp by the bed.
Shortly after, Luo Xiaoqian returned, hiding one hand behind her back.
Standing in front of him, she commanded with a smile, "Close your eyes, no peeking."
Guessing her intention, Leng Zimo smiled and closed his eyes.
Without seeing her, he merely felt her soft hand take hold of his left hand and then slide something onto his middle finger—only to stop halfway, followed by her annoyed voice.
"No way, it's too small?!"
"Can I open my eyes now?" Leng Zimo asked with a smile.
"Open them." Luo Xiaoqian's voice carried a bit of disappointment.
