For a thousand years, the Galactic Republic has stood proud, bound by the Galactic Senate and upheld by the righteous Jedi Order. The warmonger Mandolorian's lay defeated, broken with the fall of the fifth Mandalorian Empire while the ancient Sith were driven to extinction. Peace and stability reigned supreme, and the galaxy prospered.
But this was not to last. The era of prosperity withered and decayed, giving way to the rot of greed and power. For the last five hundred years, An era of stagnation has engulfed the galaxy.
While the Core Worlds continue to thrive, the Outer Rim suffers. Megacorporations, unchecked by the Senate, enslave entire planets, enforcing their rule with private armies. The Dwindling Jedi order and meager Judiciary Forces find it impossible to maintain the ideals of the republic across the galaxy.
The Republic turned a blind eye to corporate greed—until the Trade Federation dared to invade a "civilized" world.
The crisis on Naboo revealed a terrible truth—the Sith had returned. The Jedi Order, fearing a new war, prepares for battle. But as they remilitarize, the galaxy threatens to erupt as a new war simmers.
Millions of planets rise in defiance, demanding freedom from the corrupt galactic Senate. The Separatist Movement was born.
Eager to keep the republic from being split in two and avoid the catastrophic conflict which would follow, the Senate began immediate negotiations to avoid escalation, voting unanimously to prevent the Jedi order from remilitarizing.
After two years, the Separatist Movement was on the verge of collapse. Through media manipulation and political maneuvering, the Republic stalled any reformation, dividing the prospective revolution. The continued reign of the Core Worlds was all but assured.
Then, from the shadows, Count Dooku emerged.
With vast wealth and unmatched charisma, he united entire planetary governments under one banner. The Separatists Movement is now consolidated, an alliance of systems seeking to break free from Republic control.
At last, the Republic is forced to act, six years after the separatist crisis began. The Grand Navy of the Republic is created to ensure galactic unity in the face of a growing threat. But within the Galactic Senate, a war of ideals rages between the Pacifists and Militarists. Led by Senator Padmé Amidala, the Pacifists block the formation of a Republic army, fearing that further escalation would lead to war.
And for years, they succeeded.
But in the shadows, something has been growing.
A secret message has been sent. A figure by the name of SCC-01 claims a mysterious Grand Army, commissioned by the Senate, is ready for deployment.
Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi undergoes a secret mission to investigate this army and discover who this SCC-01 is.
