"It's her!" Lin Qiushu said to her grandmother, "Do you see that pregnant woman? It's her!"
"Is it her?" The elder's eyes, calm just moments ago, now churned with waves, "Are you certain?"
"I'm not!" Lin Qiushu shook her head, "Perhaps I am mistaken!"
"Then let's take it slow! My old body isn't what it used to be, but I can still wait," the old woman murmured.
"Mhm." Lin Qiushu nodded.
An Hao was taking a walk in the garden when she noticed from the corner of her eye that someone was staring at her. She was intrigued and looked toward the source of the gaze, only to see Lin Qiushu and an old person standing among the flowers, watching her.
Maybe they meant no harm, but An Hao disliked the sensation of being surreptitiously sized up, so she lifted her chin at them and, without hesitation, turned and left.
"A girl with quite a character," Lin Qiushu's lips curled slightly.
