"I heard our family suffered the most in this downpour, why is that?" An Hao suddenly asked.
"I went with Dad to deliver vegetables! The hail came without warning! Other families had iron pans on their heads and plastic sheets in their hands, rushing to their fields to build shelters for the crops! Our vegetables were just smashed by the hail!" An Ping said, filled with gloom.
"You weren't home all of last night?"
"By the time we got back, it was late, and we hurriedly covered the greenhouses with the plastic sheets! But when we woke up this morning, that plastic was smashed to pieces! What's more infuriating is, some of the plastic sheets were torn open."
"Who did it?"
"Who knows? With the hail so heavy last night, who would notice someone causing trouble? It must have been someone jealous of our family!"
After listening, An Hao felt somewhat more informed.
Their family had been hit hardest by the hail, but other families had also suffered losses to some extent.
