Celia bit her lip in confusion. "What will? What are you talking about?"
Lucas didn't respond. Instead he leaned in to kiss her again, longer this time and placing his hands lightly on her knees. She could feel the heat of his skin even through the thick satin fabric of her skirt.

She gave a shocked gasp when his hands suddenly forced her knees apart somewhat. Celia quickly removed her hands from Lucas's shoulders and clung to the lid of the chest, to keep herself balanced upright. "What is all this, Lucas?"
As quick and agile as a cat, Lucas reached out and grabbed a belt that hung on a wall peg. He handed it to Celia, before returning to his knees. "You'll likely be needing this."
Confused, Celia raised one hand to take the belt, noticing how her fingers trembled. "Why would I need it?" What the devil was he expecting her to do with a plain leather belt?
