Chapter One Hundred-Twenty-Nine:
Somewhere…
"Dipili Flower? What are you going to do with that, Khawar?" Corey curiously asked.
"Give it to Bela." He simply answered.
"For what?"
Khawar stared at him meaningfully. "I know you already knew what this flower can do right?"
"Of course, but the thing is why are you giving it to Bela? For what?"
"You'll know soon. But for now, where was he anyway?"
…
Reinhardt's Residence
"And what was that?" I asked.
"A venomous ancient flower, this flower is green in color and very beautiful to look at and take care of but it hides venom like a snake when you were bitten by it. Once you hold on to it, or even smell it, the venom from the flower's pollen will surely go through down your skin and to your breath. Gradually, it will without any notice the poison will run into your veins, through your blood until it reaches every single of your organs and until it reaches your skin and your eyes. It will only show up when you already feel irritable or got a sudden anger that almost makes you freeze, numb and until you lose consciousness. But your body keeps moving with an unimaginable strength and no one can hold you down once the poison consume you."
Medea explained it in details and knowing all the symptoms she said, we already saw it and Kieran was unstoppable and it's all because of the Dipili Flower. But the thing is… where was it?
"Then, where is that flower?" I hurriedly asked.
"This is it." Kieran answered while pointing at the flowers that were already withered away.
"That's…" I was surprised seeing the flowers already withered. "Why it was withered?"
"Because the flower already done its purpose." Medea answered.
"That's—who gave it to you?" I asked Kieran seriously.
"'The Joker'," he replied. "And I don't know why he gave it to me."
Past…
"Iman." He immediately went closer.
"Yes, my Prince?"
"Are there any more I need to take care of?"
"There is no more my Prince."
"Good to know." I replied as I finally ease myself and let my back rest at my chair. "I'm dying already with these loads of works. And now I really need to fully rest though there's this one I couldn't just let go."
"Is it about 'The Joker's' story?" Iman directly asked.
"Yes, indeed. And until now, we still not know which one of us he was talking about."
"I'll help you with that, my Prince."
"Thank you." I said and let my eyes fall down. "You may take a rest now, you may leave."
"Yes, my Prince." He answered before leaving me.
In silence I let my body and my mind to rest when suddenly I felt that I am not alone and I really thought Iman came back so I didn't bother to open my eyes I just ask him right away.
"What is it, Iman?"
"He already left, Prince Kieran."
That voice who speaks really surprised me. "What!" my eyes forcibly open only to meet, "Joker? What are you doing here?!"
"Visiting." He simply answered as he sits at the chair across me. "And I am not here to talk but instead I want you to have this." He said and gave me a mysterious flower.
"Wh-what was that?" I asked since it is my first time seeing that kind of flowers.
"An Ancient Flower." He answered. "And I want you to have this as a gift."
"For what?"
"A thank you gift for listening to my boring story." He said and stands up. "So, I have to go now that I already given you that."
"What!" I stand up as soon as he was about to leave. "Wait! --"
"Oh, one more thing!" he suddenly turned around before he leaves. "Don't be taken in by the beauty of those flowers because it's deadly. A very deadly beauty," he said before he disappeared out of the dark.
Present…
"Now, I know what he means by deadly beauty." Kieran said after telling us what happened when he received those flowers.
With anger that suddenly arose in my heart, I march at the table where the flowers put and took it only to throw it away from the window. Not even bothering if the window is close, I just throw it away anyway.
"Kanik!" Kieran suddenly grabs my wrist and stare at me surprisingly. "Why did you throw it away?"
"Because we didn't need that thing!" I said as I turned to look at Medea. "What can we do to cure my brother?"
"There's a problem about it."
"What problem?" we both asked together.
"The cure can only be found in Cullen Village."
...
Somewhere…
It's been a long time since I stepped into the place where it all started. Even though I don't want to go here, I don't have a choice but to go to this place.
"Galtama an honnapa an nir lamu ngan torimapu ak, Lady Shirina."
I take a deep breath before turning to him. "Khawar." I spoke. "Ta lawa ak ap ngir pasku. You are still doing what you don't have to do."
Khawar laughs. "Alright! That was really funny, Lady Shirina." He said while clapping his hands. "Do you really not know that I'm the other side of your father? The one and only brother he had, that he just disposed and left alone in the void. Nothing. Just simply… nothing. And now you were telling me, I do what I don't have to do? That's really ridiculous because this is who I am, I do what is right for this void I'm living for my whole life. And you with your brother are the only way I can make him notice me. Because breaking something he do really cherish is what makes me complete."
Anger, that's how I felt immediately after I heard what he said. Breaking us is what makes him complete? Then what about me and my brother? Because we're totally ruin all because of him!
