Clank, neigh*
Magnus unmounted his horse with a calm face, looking at the middle-aged man in front of him while Uther and Holiman bowed to show their respect for he was a lord.
The man bowed back to show his respect as his children followed suit to showcase their education.
" You have taught your children well, Lord of Surrey. My name is Uther Kent. I am the lord of Kent territory and a person who was sent by the royal family to take over your lord."
Caiman didn't say much before glancing at his son who tried to open his mouth to ask his intentions. His quick reflex was able to block his mouth before he muttered nonsense to these people.
He wasn't a fool who couldn't see the mountain before him, noticing both Uther and Magnus were experienced fighters who would probably murder him if they were passed.
His senses were telling him that these men couldn't be messed with and surely he couldn't disobey the royal family for they would condemn him for it.
" I understand. However, I must be brazen here, your lordship. What is your plan with my people and my territory? By the looks of your attire, you aren't here for negotiation, are you?
You are preparing for a battle since Kent is in need of resources and the royal family needs to fill out a southern house that could keep Wales in check."
Caiman didn't hesitate to deploy his cards, perfectly guessing what they needed in this war because he was meticulous. He heard other nobles ridiculing Kent's territory because they were supported by Vikings who were regarded as barbarians.
They believed Kent must be weak to ask help from such mongoloid people but in the face of the truth that was far from reality. Caiman could tell all knights of Kent were almost equipped to match royal knights and their skills didn't seem to be lower than them.
Especially when it came to Uther himself who was a tall man with broad shoulders. Furthermore, Magnus and his people were tall as he heard and they weren't dressed in shambles.
Their leather armors were highly customized to match their needs with metal puddings that could brush off projectiles. Moreover, their swords and weapons were all exclusively crafted from the best weapon makers.
If Caiman could choose weapons in the whole continent, he would say Viking weapons would be most durable compared to other countries.
" You are right, lord. My goal is to assimilate your territory into mine and I am not planning to stop there.
I will eat up the entire southern region and create my dukedom. Of course, you might not believe it but I will build a country that everyone can live peacefully like Camelot."
Uther was an ambitious dreamer who was willing to extend his hand to people like Caiman. He valued their skills even though they lacked noble thinking.
" That is a myth. The royal family wouldn't allow someone to trample their flags. Many other nobles would try to destroy you.
Do you think we will join your sinking ship?"
Georgia couldn't stay silent before she opened her mouth. She didn't believe that a single rural territory would be able to annex the entire South. Besides, their territory might be weak but there were many rich nobles in the south who traded with the mainland.
Their wealth could easily buy out militias and raise armies that could trample them.
" What a lovely daughter you have! She reminds me of my wife and son who both are headstrong and persistent."
Magnus couldn't hold his laughter, patting her head in front of Caiman who couldn't register what was happening since no one would dare to do this.
" You touched my head?"
Georgia fumed with anger, knocking his hand off but she found his strength was much greater than she anticipated.
" I apologize for his rudeness. My brother is a straightforward person who loves children and the elderly. He views all young people as his children and quite frankly he is one of the most loved people in my home."
He wasn't kidding when he said this, thinking of the children who idolized Magnus. They thought of him as the greatest warrior in their kingdom.
