Chapter 100 - Chapter 100

Chapter 100: There's Nothing to Worry About in the World—Only Mediocre People Worry

Ye Feng tilted his head and looked at Dai Mubai. The moment Zhu Zhuqing left, this guy showed up at his door. What the hell did he want now? Was he jealous again?

"I'm busy."

"Ye Feng, if you're a real man, fight me. I'll be waiting for you at the academy training ground. Let's settle this like men."

"Dai Mubai, you're no match for me," Ye Feng said bluntly.

He wasn't trying to look down on him—just stating facts. Right now, Dai Mubai was still stuck at Spirit Elder level, while Ye Feng had already stepped into the Spirit King realm with five rings. Not to mention, he had three martial spirits, two of which had already started absorbing spirit rings. The gap between them wasn't just about spirit power—it was a difference in sheer ability.

But Dai Mubai ignored Ye Feng's words, turned around, and walked straight to the training ground of New Shrek Academy.

It was already past eleven at night. Even the couples sneaking around the academy had finished their business and gone back to sleep. The massive 3,000-square-meter training ground was completely empty.

Ye Feng followed, but he had a good guess about why Dai Mubai was acting this way. The guy was restless. He'd noticed that after the mission against the Wolf Bandits, Oscar and Ma Hongjun had surpassed him in spirit power. That shit had to sting.

Dai Mubai could accept Ma Hongjun being ahead—after all, the dude's cultivation method was basically cheating. Who else could boost their spirit power just by sleeping with women? No normal spirit master could compete with that.

But Oscar? The same Oscar who used to slack off and joke around all day? Now that guy had broken through to Spirit Ancestor while Dai Mubai was still stuck at Spirit Elder. That was a tough pill to swallow.

And while Tang San was also at Spirit Elder level, he was a few years younger, so Dai Mubai couldn't even use him as an excuse.

So yeah, Dai Mubai was pissed off and frustrated.

Then, while he was out walking to clear his mind, he heard sounds coming from Ye Feng's room—fighting sounds. Shortly after, Zhu Zhuqing walked out, her hair messy, sweat dripping down her forehead. She looked exhausted but… happy.

Dai Mubai had seen a lot of things in his life, but he wasn't an idiot. What else could a man and a woman be doing alone in a room this late at night, leaving one of them drenched in sweat and looking satisfied?

So yeah, Dai Mubai was fucking angry.

"Ye Feng, you know my martial spirit is the Evil-Eyed White Tiger, and Zhu Qing's is the Nether Spirit Cat. You understand martial spirits better than anyone, so you know what that means, don't you?"

"Oh? You trying to pull rank on me now? Didn't you say you wanted a fight between men?" Ye Feng smirked.

"Ye Feng, you knew that Zhu Qing and I were engaged, yet you've been getting close to her this whole time. And tonight, you actually… you actually did that with her!"

Ye Feng raised an eyebrow. "Did what?"

"You know damn well what I mean!" Dai Mubai clenched his fists, his whole body trembling with rage as he summoned his Evil-Eyed White Tiger spirit.

"Dai Mubai, are you fucking stupid? Zhu Qing and I are innocent. You're just overthinking shit," Ye Feng snapped.

"Innocent? Then why was she sweating and smiling when she left your room?"

"Because we were training, dumbass."

"Bullshit!" Dai Mubai roared. "You knew about our engagement, yet you still went after her! Stop running your mouth and fight me!"

"Dai Mubai, are you sick or something?"

"Yeah, I am sick! And beating your ass is the only cure!"

Dai Mubai wasn't wasting any more time. He activated his third spirit skill—White Tiger Vajra Transformation—and lunged at Ye Feng.

Ye Feng sighed and dodged effortlessly, barely even trying. With a simple sidestep, he avoided Dai Mubai's attack and smacked him with an open palm.

"Enough." Ye Feng's voice was sharp.

Dai Mubai staggered back but refused to quit. He needed to vent, needed to hit something. He kept attacking, but Ye Feng barely moved, dodging everything with ease.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Ye Feng didn't even use his spirit power. Thanks to the system's boost, his agility was insane, and his raw strength was more than enough to keep up with Dai Mubai's attacks. It wasn't a fight—it was a one-sided ass-whooping.

After ten minutes of this, Dai Mubai could barely move. He collapsed onto the ground, panting, looking up at Ye Feng with unwillingness in his eyes.

"That's it? Didn't you say you wanted a fight between men? Is this your idea of a fight? Sorry to say, Dai Mubai, but you're too weak," Ye Feng said coldly.

"You…!"

Dai Mubai tried to stand, but his legs buckled. He barely managed to stay upright.

"Dai Mubai, yeah, you and Zhu Qing were engaged—but maybe you forgot something. You broke up with her in a fit of rage one night. Your engagement is technically still recognized by the Star Luo Empire, but between you two? It's already over."

Dai Mubai's heart sank.

Ye Feng was right. He had broken up with Zhu Zhuqing on impulse. And yeah, he regretted it—but he had no right to blame her for moving on.

"And just so we're clear, Zhu Qing and I really are just training. She wants to get stronger, and since I have a sharp mind and strong teachers, she asked me for guidance. That's all. You are the one making shit up in your head," Ye Feng added, his voice firm.

"Innocent? You really think I'm gonna believe that?" Dai Mubai glared at him.

"Believe what you want. Doesn't change the facts."

"You—!"

Dai Mubai clenched his fists again, but before he could move, a voice interrupted.

"Mu Bai, you're no match for Ye Feng."

Zhao Wuji stepped out from the shadows of the training ground.

"Teacher Zhao," Ye Feng greeted.

"Mu Bai, Ye Feng didn't even use his martial spirit just now. If he had, you'd be in way worse shape. I don't care about the love drama between you kids, but if you really want to beat him one day, you better start training harder," Zhao Wuji advised.

Dai Mubai clenched his jaw but said nothing.

"Teacher Zhao, since you're here, I'll leave him to you. I'm heading back to get some sleep."

Ye Feng didn't bother looking at Dai Mubai again. He turned and leaped toward his room, leaving the training ground behind.

On his way back, he spotted three familiar figures—Yu Xiaogang, Tang San, and Liu Erlong.
