Chapter 118 - Chapter 118

Four Days Later

Four days had passed since Dugu Bo's "death." Today was a major day for Tiandou City—the opening ceremony of the All-Continent Advanced Spirit Master Academy Tournament for the Tiandou Empire division.

As the biggest spirit master competition in the world, it didn't just attract spirit masters but also civilians and nobles. Civilians mainly came to watch the excitement, while some took advantage of the event to place bets on winners and losers. Nobles, on the other hand, saw this as the perfect opportunity to scout for talented individuals.

Because of the competition's prestige, all tickets for the Tiandou division had been sold out a month in advance.

"Come on, get them while they last! If you don't buy now, you'll regret it! Only 800 gold spirit coins per ticket! I've got the last three left!"

Outside the arena, scalpers shouted at the top of their lungs. A single ticket for the opening ceremony was being sold for 800 gold spirit coins, and once the real battles began, prices would soar into the thousands.

Only wealthy merchants and nobles could afford such absurd prices, but that didn't stop the scalpers from selling. After all, in the entire continent, the number of spirit masters didn't exceed six figures. Those competing in the tournament were already considered top-tier talents, and with the age limit of 25 years, they were the ideal candidates for wealthy merchants and nobles looking for future sons-in-law or daughters-in-law. Spending a few thousand gold spirit coins was nothing compared to securing a future family powerhouse.

The Great Spirit Arena of Tiandou City served as the competition venue. Since early morning, the entire place was packed with spectators. Then, the arrival of a group of eleven people instantly attracted countless stares.

"Wow!"

"What academy is that?"

"Did they just crawl out of a toilet?"

"Wait a second… there's something written on their backs. Huh? Shrek Real Estate? What the hell? Their uniforms literally have Shrek Real Estate printed on them!"

"I'm so jealous. I heard Shrek Real Estate has the highest sponsorship prices. So many academies begged for sponsorship, but they all got rejected. How the hell did this academy get sponsored?"

Hearing the first half of those whispers, Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, and Zhu Zhuqing wanted to dig a hole in the ground and hide. But when they heard the last part, their moods instantly did a 180-degree turn.

Not only civilians, but even students from other competing academies looked at their Shrek Real Estate uniforms with envy instead of mockery.

Ding!

> "Congratulations, you have convinced Flanders to change the six-word advertisement on the uniforms to Shrek Real Estate. Instead of being mocked, the contestants from Shrek Academy are now being envied. This change has subverted the original storyline. Reward: 10 free attribute points."

Hearing the system notification, Ye Feng smirked. Who would've thought such a small change would earn him ten free attribute points? Not bad.

He looked at his teammates and said, "Let's go in. This championship is ours."

Truth be told, Ye Feng didn't have to do much to convince Flanders. When he first saw the school uniforms, he casually mentioned, 'Wouldn't it be better to advertise real estate instead of recruitment? The more famous Shrek Real Estate becomes, the more money we can raise. And that's way better than some random recruiting ad.'

Flanders thought about it for half a second before fully agreeing. The six words "Looking for Sponsorship Advertisement" were quickly changed to "Shrek Real Estate Sponsorship." The word "sponsorship" was written super small, almost invisible unless you looked closely.

A classic real estate marketing trick.

"Champion? A Toad Wants to Be Champion?"

Right as they were about to enter, a sarcastic voice came from the side.

Ye Feng turned his head and saw eleven people walking toward them, all dressed in moon-white spirit master robes. A green circle emblem was embroidered on their shoulders, with the words Cang Hui written in silver thread.

"Cang Hui Academy." Xiao Wu muttered.

Her face turned a little dark. She hadn't forgotten—when they entered Star Dou Forest to help Oscar get his spirit ring, they ran into a group of Cang Hui students led by Ye Zhiqiu.

By the time it was over, all eight of them were dead.

Ye Feng personally killed them.

Later, when the bodies were found, Cang Hui Academy sent people to investigate. They tracked the fight's location and even found a large rock near the hotel with the words:

"Ye Feng Was Here."

Someone from Cang Hui Academy had shattered the rock in fury, but even though they knew who the murderer was, they never sought revenge.

Now, seeing them again, Ye Feng wasn't surprised. But hearing them talk shit? That was something else.

"Who the fuck are you calling a toad?" Tai Long shouted.

"Oh, I don't know…" A student from Cang Hui Academy sneered. "Maybe the guys wearing shit-green uniforms?"

Tai Long saw red. His blood instantly boiled, and he raised his fist to knock the bastard's teeth out.

But just as he moved, Tang San stepped in and stopped him.

"You're gonna stop me?" Tai Long glared at Tang San.

Tang San ignored him. Instead, he smirked and shot back, "Damn, I didn't know we had a bunch of little white dogs barking around here."

Ye Feng's voice suddenly rang out.

"Tai Long, do it."

"Young Master?"

"You wanted to throw hands, right? So throw hands. If someone's got the balls to step to your face, why are you just standing there?"

"Yes, Young Master."

SLAP!

A loud, crisp slap echoed at the entrance of the Great Spirit Arena.

The Cang Hui student staggered back, holding his face. "You… you actually hit me?!"

"What the hell is going on here?"

A powerful voice interrupted the brewing fight.

The moment that one voice spoke, the once-arrogant students from Cang Hui immediately shut up.

The speaker was an old man, over sixty years old, also wearing moon-white spirit master robes. But unlike the students, the words "Cang Hui" on his robe were embroidered in gold.

"You're lucky," one of the Cang Hui students spat. "Hope you can still be this cocky inside the arena."

Clearly embarrassed, they quickly turned and left.

"Shi Nian!"

A female voice suddenly spoke behind Ye Feng.

It was Liu Erlong. She walked to Ye Feng's side and looked at the old man in the distance. Her expression was serious.

"I didn't think that old bastard would end up in Cang Hui Academy."

"Sister Erlong, do you know him?" Xiao Wu asked.

Liu Erlong nodded. "His name is Shi Nian. He's got a petty, vengeful personality. His martial spirit is called Nightmare Mirage. Even though he's only a Spirit Sage, not even Spirit Douluo want to fight him. His martial spirit is just that troublesome."

She turned to Ye Feng, her voice dead serious.

"Especially you, Ye Feng. You've got history with Cang Hui Academy. Stay by my side at all times. Got it?"
