The voice taunted me, its words dripping with malice. "You couldn't change anything, let alone protect anyone. Your pathetic self thinks you've changed, but that's far from the truth and you know it too, don't you?"
I tried to shut it out, but the voice grew louder, more insistent. "Shut your damn mouth!" I roared, my anger boiling over. "I'm not dead yet. I will not die until I've killed those fucking bastards, until I've gotten my hands drenched in their blood."
The voice snickered, its tone dripping with sadistic pleasure. "And how do you plan to do that when you're stuck here in the abyss? You're trapped, helpless, and powerless."
I glared at it, my mind racing with fury. But the voice just laughed, its words cutting deep. "You do know that the more time you spend here in the abyss, the more it will give me the opportunity to take control of your body. To be precise, it's our body. And once I'm in control, you'll be nothing but a puppet, a mere spectator to your own demise."
