A team of hunters armed with knives and spears were chopping away the thorns on the side of the mountain path while chatting casually with each other, bursts of hearty laughter occasionally echoing through the ranks.
This was a rarely trodden mountain trail that, due to the drop in temperature, was touched by frost every morning and evening.
The phenomenon was even more pronounced at the cusp of autumn and winter.
Fortunately, though the path was somewhat slippery, Wang Liehu and his fellow seasoned hunters were not particularly hindered by the frost or the thorny underbrush.
