Chapter 1826 - 18 COTE

Something had happened.

More than a hundred students gathered at the beach. Murmurs and discussions full of panic could be heard. Why would there not be?

In front of their eyes was an eerie scene..

The Supply Camp was empty.

The staff was gone.

The teachers were gone..

Only the remains of a destroyed helicopter floated ominously in the sea. Chaos was on the verge of ensuing and the only thing still keeping all the students mentally sane was the luxury cruise floating quietly in the distance.

It provided them a semblance of peace.

Perhaps this... perhaps this was the real test and everything earlier was just a deception. The hundred or so students couldn't help but think so.

No!

They had to think so!

Because there was another possibility.....

Horikita felt a chill go down her spine. She stood silently among her classmates, she glanced at their panicked and bewildered faces and felt time slow down.

It can't be.

She mentally comforted herself and looked around more intensely as if searching for someone specific.

Yet the sea of students only made her frustrated.

"Where are you...?" She muttered.

The one who'd dodged her questions. The one who'd smirked when she'd accused him of cheating on last week's exam.

If this was a test, he'd know. He always knew. He had to know!

Suddenly there was a commotion behind her. She saw the eyes of those from Class D lit up. The eyes of the hundreds of students seemed to focus on something specific.

Horikita turned her head around only to see a glimpse of a human from the forest behind.

The silhouette slowly became clearer and Horikita couldn't help but smile, letting out a sigh of relief.

Yet her relief curdled as she gazed into his eyes.

Her heart jumped.

Why did he look anxious?

She looked around and it seemed like no one besides her noticed.

"Yamamoto-kun!" Hasabe and the rest jumped forward initially in joy.

But the joy slowly evaporated, what could Tatsuya do in their current situation?

"Something weird is happening!" Hasabe began to speak and most of the students began to listen intently, perhaps trying to find solace in their current situation.

"The Supply Camp is empty! The staff and teachers have disappeared and the helicopter is destroyed. I don't understand what's going on, is the school trying to scare us or something?"

"Do you know anything about this Yamamoto-kun?" Kushida stepped forward, anxiousness written in her eyes.

She let out a strained smile as if trying to make sense of the situation.

Everyone waited for Tatsuya to answer. His face had been entirely calm from the beginning as if he knew something.

His mysterious composure gave them some confidence.

Tatsuya's gaze swept the crowd. Ichinose Honami stood at the front of her class, her fists clenched, "Please," she whispered, loud enough to carry. "If this is part of the test, tell us."

"It's not a test." Tatsuya's voice cut through the murmurs.

*Silence*

Horikita's stomach dropped. Around her, students exchanged glances; confusion, denial, a flicker of rage.

"Indeed... it looks like they've caught wind of me."

Hasabe was stunned.

"Wind of you?"

What the fuck was he talking about? Everyone couldn't help but stare at him weirdly. His cryptic words sounded like nonsense if anything.

"Wind of you!? What do you mean?" Airi couldn't help but tremble and speak out loud, she held the hem of his shirt with a terrified look.

"There's no time to explain..." He shook his head with a grave look.

*Rnngggg!*

The sound of a loud engine roared to life and caught everyone's attention. The cruise began to move forward, till the point it reached the shore.

"It's a rescue!" someone shouted.

"Thank god-"

"It really was a scare."

"Goddamnit I thought we were abandoned or something."

"But what about the destroyed helicopter?"

No one answered subconsciously ignoring that question and looking at the cruise with expectations but the eerie atmosphere only began to foster even more as the students felt a shiver go down their spine.

The ship's gangplank lowered. Thirty figures descended, their movements synchronized, robotic. Black uniforms. Blank white masks. Katanas glinting in the sun.

They were all well-built and tall.

What was horrifying was that they all held a katana in hand. The sharm gleam from the blades shone in the sunlight beautifully creating a chilling scene.

"No..." someone muttered and boom!

Chaos erupted.

In front of the thirty mysterious agents was a small petite girl with long red hair flowing down to her waist. Unlike the others, she had holes in both eyes and the mouth. Her amethyst eyes glistened with a cold look.

They charged forward and the students faced with this scene could only panic and scramble back into the forest. But the speed of the agents in black was too horrifying.

With katana in their hands, they began slicing the students in half. Blood splattered and if anyone had any doubts they were all cleared. Either as they fled into the forest or as they looked at their severed body.

"Blackroom!" Tatsuya glared at the intruders with a murderous look and hurriedly grabbed Horikita's hand. "We have to run!"

With inhuman speed, he abandoned the rest of the class.

Behind them, the cries of the young teenagers echoed.

*Boom!*

*Rumble!*

In a symphony, clouds began to gather above the island with thunder crackling inside them.

*Pitter patter*

Raindrops mixed with blood stained the island as echoes of mercy flooded the scene.

"Hahahahahaha!!!"

Only the mad laughter of the red-haired girl echoed loudly among the cries of terror.

****

Horikita was still in a daze.

Her lungs burned as she panted for breath, her vision blurred. She didn't understand what was going on. Her hand was tightly grasped by Tatsuya and he was sprinting with all his might.

What is this speed...

The speed shocked Horikita.

A chill filled her mind as she realised, that the day she had tried to record him she hadn't lost focus. He had truly blitzed her.

As her thoughts became chaotic the cold chill brought by the rain woke her up.

"What the hell is going on!?" Horikita tried her best to not panic but the students behind her were getting slaughtered. No one could match Tatsuya's speed and she could only squint her eyes to see the fleeting figures of familiar students.

Her mind buzzed but Tatsuya did not answer.

He moved with all his might and only after finding a secluded spot did he enter it. He roughly pushed Horikita inside and used rocks to cover the entrance of the small cave.

Only when there was barely any light coming in did he stop and squat down with the bewildered Horikita.

His gaze was full of complex emotions and Horikita felt her mind slowly calm down.

She looked at Tatsuya, her eyes seeking answers.

His cryptic response at the beach was still fresh in her mind.

"Please... please explain."

Tatsuya's eyes flickered with incredible grief and rage. It took him some time to calm down as all his emotions seemed to merge into endless sorrow.

Horikita felt her heart grip with sympathy as Tatsuya looked at her and moved his lips.

"...This is all my fault."

-x-X-x-

Horikita shivered slightly as drops of cold water slid down her body. The cave's damp chill clung to her skin, and she wrapped her arms around herself, trying to ignore the faint tremors in her hands.

She looked at Tatsuya, his expression heavy with remorse. Her mind buzzed as she tried to piece together the meaning behind his words.

"Your fault?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Tatsuya nodded and sat down beside her. The cave was small, their shoulders brushing as he settled in. Horikita didn't have the energy to care about the closeness.

"It's hard to explain," he began, running a hand through his wet hair. "But I'll simplify it for you. I'm the product of a biological experiment."

"Experiment?" Horikita's brow furrowed, her voice tinged with disbelief.

"Yes. Don't overthink it. It's exactly as you're imagining. I was born and raised in a lab, subjected to countless experiments."

"What kind of experiments?" She turned toward him, her eyes wide with a mix of curiosity and unease..

"And... why you?"

"I wasn't special. Just one of many test subjects. The goal was to create perfect humans."

Horikita's mind raced. "Wait... if you were raised as a test subject, your story about your family and sister...?" Her voice trailed off, a flicker of disappointment crossing her face.

The reason she had begun to sympathize with him, to grow closer, was his tragic story about his sister and not being able to see her in her final moments.

If that was a lie...

"It wasn't a lie," Tatsuya said, his voice soft but firm. "My sister really did die. I've only met my family twice, and the second time... I was told she was gone. It was the last straw. I couldn't take it anymore. I rebelled and escaped."

Horikita listened quietly, her gaze fixed on his face. She searched his eyes for any hint of deception but found only pain.

"I thought I could be safe if I joined ANHS," he continued. "But I didn't expect our first special exam to be on an island."

"What's the name of this organization?" she asked, her voice steady despite the storm of emotions inside her.

"Blackroom," Tatsuya answered without hesitation.

Horikita lowered her head, avoiding his gaze. "It's hard to believe," she admitted.

"I know."

"But... I believe you."

Tatsuya blinked, surprised. "Really?"

"Yes." She shook her head. "Everything makes sense now. Your strength, the people outside..." Her voice faltered as she glanced toward the cave's entrance, where the faint sound of distant screams still lingered.

She was just a young girl. How could she not be frightened by the thought of armed men hunting them down? The memory of their blades slicing through the air sent a shiver down her spine.

She hugged herself tighter, trying to stifle the tears threatening to spill.

Then, warmth enveloped her.

Tatsuya pulled her into his arms, his embrace firm but gentle. His hand moved in slow, soothing circles on her back. "It's going to be okay," he murmured. "I'll protect you."

Horikita leaned into him, her face buried against his chest. She didn't speak, but her trembling gradually subsided.

"It's not empty words," he added. "Just an hour. That's all we need. The government will send people to investigate. I asked Chabashira-sensei out of curiosity earlier, and she said if no one responds, they'll send support."

"You don't have to console me," Horikita whispered, her voice shaking. "I know we're probably going to die. Even if the government sends help, how many people will it be? Will they have soldiers? Firearms?"

"I'm sorry," Tatsuya said, his voice heavy. "Even if I surrender, they won't let anyone live. They'll hunt down everyone who was on this island. But I promise you, we'll survive."

Horikita looked up, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.

"How?"

"I'm the only successful test subject in twenty years. They won't risk losing me. I'll threaten to kill myself if they don't let you go."

Her breath hitched. "You'd do that?"

"For you? Yes."

Horikita stared at him, her heart pounding. His expression was calm, almost reassuring, but she could see the resolve burning in his eyes.

"Thank you," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Tatsuya's arms tightened around her. "You don't have to thank me."

For a moment, they sat in silence.

Horikita's mind raced, torn between fear and a strange sense of comfort.

"How sad," Tatsuya said suddenly, breaking the silence. "I was excited to win the island exam."

The comment caught her off guard, and a small, unexpected laugh escaped her lips. She quickly stifled it, her face flushing as she remembered their conversation on the cruise ship.

Her laughter faded as she became acutely aware of their position. She could feel the warmth of his body, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, the strength of his arms around her. She should pull away, she thought. But she didn't.

Instead, she tightened her grip on his shirt, her fingers trembling. "I wouldn't say I love you," she said quietly. "But I won't lie and say I didn't enjoy the time we spent together last month."

This time it was Tatsuya who remained silent as Horikita laid her feelings bare.

"I've had a strange life," she continued, her voice soft. "For most of it, I didn't talk to anyone. I was so focused on proving myself to my brother that I lost sight of what really mattered. It's funny... when I saw groups of friends laughing together... when I saw couples enjoying each other's company... when I saw people working toward their goals..."

"...I was jealous. I told myself they were beneath me, that they were wasting their time. But deep down, I knew I was just lying to myself."

Horikita sighed, her hands moving to cup his face. "I don't want to bore you with my life story. She shook her head, it seemed like she was talking to Tatsuya but at the same time it appeared as if she was making peace with her own heart, "What I want to say is... thank you." Her face broke into a smile. A smile so beautiful it almost seemed inhumane. "Thank you for letting me experience all of this."

Her lips brushed against his in a gentle, fleeting kiss.

-x-X-x-

Tatsuya's eyes widened.

Her soft lips touched his for a brief moment before she pulled away and ducked her head shyly.

He didn't expect her to make the first move.

Technically this was also the first time the girl had taken the initiative towards him. His usually aggressive behaviour left them no choice. Only Horikita was privileged to not go through what the others had.

While he was musing awkward silence hung over in the air.

Tatsuya immediately smiled and forcefully raised Horikita's chin. Her bright red face which no longer had the courage from earlier was especially cute.

"You're bold."

"I... yeah?" Horikita didn't know what to say.

Was I too hasty? No no, we're about to die! But he won't think I'm weird for suddenly kissing him, right? He wanted this too though he shouldn't mind, right? Right!? Aarghhhh!

Horikita's thoughts were a jumbled mess as her eyes swirled in confusion.

Tatsuya pinched her pretty little nose causing her to freeze. She looked at him in confusion and Tatsuya kissed her back.

Horikita remained as still as a statue as their lips clashed.

She hadn't even thought about relationships much less intimate actions like kissing. It was only this month that she had become somewhat conscious of these actions.

She didn't know how to respond.

Tatsuya took note of this and kept the pace soft and slow. His hands hugged her waist and his thumbs gently massaged her sides to ease her tense nerves. The sudden movements must've brought Horikita back to reality as she closed her eyes.

She didn't have the heart to stop him. Not after she was the one who initially initiated it.

Their actions began to heat up as her eyes slowly turned cloudy. Her hands wrapped around his back as Tatsuya slowly laid her down. His enormous body shadowed her threateningly.

She was breathing heavily as her body shuddered in pleasure. She felt the urge to close her legs and rub them together. This feeling was so foreign that Horikita felt surprised.

"Are you okay?" Tatsuya asked as he looked at her.

He was curious about her mental state. Was she really fine with engaging in such vulgar activities while the rest of the students were being slaughtered outside?

Horikita, much to his surprise, was instead confused by his question.

"I am? I don't know....I-I've never done this before." Her voice lowered, "I'm sorry if I'm bad at it."

Tatsuya froze in place as he looked at the mumbling beauty. Her gorgeous eyes were fixed on him as if hoping he would console her. Tell her that she wasn't bad at all.

That he enjoyed it.

"I loved it." His response included kissing her again, not giving her a chance to recuperate.

In reality, his mind was preoccupied with heavy thoughts. Perhaps raping every single one of the girls wasn't the right choice. He could actually form meaningful bonds with one or two.

Horikita was cuter than he imagined.

But Tatsuya knew better, this was just a slight urge. An urge that would disappear as soon as it emerged.

The heat, the atmosphere, the intensity... it all led to their clothes becoming scattered on the floor.

The ground was slightly rough so Tatsuya used their clothes as cover and laid Horikita on it. Horikita was sweating, whether it was from nervousness or not, he didn't know.

He had adjusted the size of his cock long ago. It was a normal 7-inch with decent girth. To Tatsuya the entering size didn't matter, the moment he was inside his cock would adjust to the pussy it was in and fill it up completely.

He didn't immediately enter her. Instead, he picked up her legs and started eating her out. His tongue slithered inside her wet cave.

Horikita couldn't take the embarrassment of looking at Tatsuya while he ate her out. She clamped her mouth shut with one hand and the other grabbed the clothes on the ground.

She stared at the ceiling of the cave with scattered thoughts.

Horikita couldn't believe that only after a few months of joining school would she find herself in such a situation... with such a person.

It was surreal.

From enemies to strangers to friends to... whatever this was.

Could she call it love?

"Haaaa-hu...❤"

She let out a moan.

Could she call Tatsuya her boyfriend?

Horikita felt her heart thump with excitement.

But, her heart wasn't the only thing thumping with excitement. She could feel her vagina pulsating weirdly as if it was aching for something.

Horikita peeked down and her gaze drifted towards the dangling meat with hesitance.

Is that going to go inside m-!?

Before she could finish her thoughts, her body jerked in surprise as a shudder went down her spine. As if she wasn't in control anymore she could feel something shoot out of her body.

The relief was instant. Her body dropped with a thump and she took a few heavy breaths. Her face was red with numerous sweat drops glistening down her pretty visage.

Tatsuya pulled his tongue out and looked at Horikita with a soft smile.

Horikita's embarrassment reached its peak as she noticed the liquid dripping down his face.

Tatsuya leaned towards her and adjusted his posture. He positioned his dick to make sure it was just touching her folds and brought his face closer to hers while staying on top of her.

He looked at the girl hiding her face with both hands and chuckled.

-x-X-x-

He forcefully tore them apart and he was faced with a glare from watery red eyes.

"We haven't even started, I didn't take you for the shy type."

"It's because my emotions are a mess right now, Katana-wielding men are killing people outside while we..."

"I know." Tatsuya spoke slowly, "But if we don't do this now then... we might never. I really love you."

Horikita didn't like it at all.

She couldn't stand how he could say such words to her face without hesitation.

It caused the poor girl's heart to ache.

She looked away.

"You don't have to be so nervous. Here, take a look at it." Tatsuya moved in front of her on his knees and pushed his cock towards her face.

Horikita noticed the musky scent and turned her head in surprise. She caught her breath as she turned around and did her best to not scream in surprise. She couldn't make any sounds that would attract attention.

"You!" She glared at him with anger but her eyes instantly caught the cock in front of her. Her mind froze as she looked at it.

"This..."

"Yes." Tatsuya didn't offer any more words.

Horikita slowly regained her calm as she looked at his cock. She began examining it.

She considered him to be big when she saw him from afar, but now being so close to it, she considered him to be even bigger.

"Touch it." was a simple but clear command.

Horikita reached out with her hand subconsciously and slowly brought it closer, she recoiled a little when she had it a few inches away, but she filled with courage touched the tip with the palm of her hand

It's hot...

She was fascinated as she felt the head of the shaft in her hand

...And it's slimy

His pre-cum wet her fingers.

"Come on, stroke the rest."

After that indication from the man. Horikita swallowed saliva before leaning her body down and wrapping her fingers as best she could around his cock and started massaging from top to bottom the same way she had seen him do.

"Wow, your hands are magic Horikita, so soft and delicate..." Tatsuya made a few deliberate remarks to ease her mood.

"Th-Thank you?" she ended up thanking him for the comment almost automatically. She didn't know how else to respond to such a compliment.

It was the first time someone was praising the skin of her hands.

Being flattered and excited to have a man enjoy how she was jerking him off was something so surreal and wrong to Horikita, but at the same time, those very ideas were what made her arousal grow.

She began pumping his cock energetically due to the encouragement.

Horikita was so focused on pumping Tatsuya's cock and how her hand was stained all over with his hot and viscous precum, that she didn't notice him grabbing her from behind the head and trapping her lips with his.

Horikita was startled but it didn't take long for her to open her mouth and reciprocate that kiss.

"Ah~❤ ah~❤"

Horikita's moans, wet and distorted from that kiss, let themselves be heard.

Horikita was melting as she shared saliva with Tatsuya. He fondled her breasts that hung close and Horikita began to speed up the rate at which she was pumping Tatsuya's cock.

She felt it throbbing in her palm and the thrill of pleasing him and making him cum made her begin to jerk him off with both hands, increasing the intensity of her service as she let herself be carried away by the heat of the moment until he finally cummed.

"Aaah~!❤"

She broke away from the kiss and let out a cute squeal as Tatsuya's cock began to shoot thick ropes of cum all over her.

Staining and filling not only her hand with cum, but also her face and a good portion of her chest.

"Oops, sorry Horikita. I guess I should have warned you."

He said with a smile not at all sorry for what he did. "Things got messy huh..."

Horikita took a moment as she realized what he had done.

He... he came all over me.

She looked down at herself and her belly tingled as she saw her body covered with Tatsuya's semen.

That's a lot of fluid.

She gathered some of the semen from her face and played with it a little

So this is semen?

By now her hesitation and nervousness were long gone.

She looked at herself and felt troubled.

"Close your eyes."

"Huh? Why?" Horikita looked at him in confusion.

"I'll give you a surprise."

"... Alright." She closed her eyes and only a second later she felt something odd.

Where did the feeling of wetness from earlier go?

She opened her eyes in shock and noticed all her sweat and his cum were gone!

"What the hell?" She looked at Tatsuya incredulously. "How did you do that."

Tatsuya smirked.

"Blackroom."

Horikita deadpanned.

Though her expression served to make her even more beautiful. Her sublime beauty led Tatsuya to kiss her once again. Their tongues matched each other's pace and Horikita's tense body began to relax once more.

Tatsuya broke the kiss and hugged her tightly.

"Don't worry." He whispered before pushing it in.

Horikita was an athletic girl so there was no hymen. Inch by inch his cock began to get enveloped by her folds. Her pussy had an incredible grip.

She bit her lower lip and her nails dug into his back. She knew it might've hurt him but she couldn't help it. The foreign object invading her body was like a spear trying to impale a body.

The feeling was way different than she imagined. The calling from her pussy to fill the emptiness was met but that was just the beginning.

Tatsuya began to move.

Inch by inch he began filling her up.

"Ah~❤ mmmh!❤ Too much!" Horikita cried out but Tatsuya ignored her.

At first, his thrusts were slow but they gradually began to pick the pace up. His hips moved with vigour as Horikita's body rocked back and forth.

His waist repeatedly collided with her plump buttcheeks. The clash of flesh made a smacking sound reverberate in the cave showcasing Tatsuya's enthusiasm.

"Wait Mmmh!❤"

Horikita tried to make him stop but all she got in response was another smack. His cock filled her pussy causing her to latch her legs around his back.

Tatsuya increased his pace and gave one last deep thrust before filling her up. He always matched his timing with his partners' release.

They both tightened around each other for a moment before relaxing.

Tatsuya slowly pulled out and looked at the huffing Horikita.

"How'd it feel? Not so bad, right?"

Horikita pouted in response to his teasing and turned her head away.

"...It was alright." Horikita wasn't brave enough to admit that she enjoyed it. How could she have known that she was under the effect of various lewd abilities?

"Don't relax too much, we're not done yet."

"We're not!?" Horikita looked up in surprise only to see his mischievous smile.

He held his cock and crawled over her chest.

Horikita could only look on silently as the pulsating yet slightly droopy cock was in front of her face.

"W-What do you want?" She was questioning him with zero idea. Tatsuya expected her to be innocent but not to this extent.

For a second he paused and thought about it.

"I want you to use your mouth. It's called a blowjob. It'll help get aroused again so that we can continue."

"... My mouth?" Horikita was flabbergasted.

She looked at the veiny cock slathered with fluid and felt a sense of aversion like any normal human would.

"It won't taste bad, trust me. Just give it a little lick!"

Tatsuya tried to coax her but she wasn't convinced. To someone rational like Horikita, the notion of his urination machine being 'okay' in taste just sounded absurd.

But for some reason, her body began heating up.

Her eyes flickered.

"C-Can't I just use my hands?"

"Well, I suppose so."

Tatsuya paused and moved an inch back. Horikita was about to sigh in relief when she noticed the sad look in his eyes.

She felt her heart constrict.

She cursed his sublime facial features as she hurriedly grabbed his cock and gave it a lick with her eyes closed. She retreated immediately as her tongue moved slightly. She scrunched her pretty face anticipating a foul taste.

But....

"V-Vanilla!?" Horikita blurted out in surprise.

"It's vanilla!" She moved her face forward and grabbed his cock with some force. Tatsuya's lips twitched as he ignored the pain.

After grabbing his cock she began giving it some long licks. Every time her tongue would trace his hardened skin she would flap her lips as if taste testing. Her expression slowly began to become brighter.

Looking at her cute yet sharp face licking his cock like a popsicle Tatsuya felt the pleasure nerves inside him tingle. He couldn't bear it any longer and grabbed Horikita's head with his hands.

He pushed his cock inside her lips.

Horikita jerked in surprise and grabbed his thighs.

Despite having forced it in, Tatsuya was accurately monitoring the amount of force and length that Horikita had to deal with. That was her privilege of being Tatsuya's favourite.

Horikita knew none of that.

She was trying her best to go along with the weird feeling in her mouth. The vanilla taste was driving her insane and she was subconsciously sucking his dick with greater fervour than Tatsuya could imagine.

The thick cock glided along her tongue and pushed past her throat causing a large bulge to form. She felt like gagging but for some reason resisted the feeling.

Turns out, she didn't have a gag reflex.

Tatsuya had enough, her alluring face, her sharp watery eyes and her plump lips were driving him insane. He tightened his hold on her head and came.

Horikita's nails scratched his thighs as thick ropes of cum were deposited in her mouth. Tatsuya liked the sticky feeling.

He slowly removed his cock from her mouth and Horikita felt reluctant. The vanilla taste was quite addictive.

"Aaah!" Horikita yelped in surprise as Tatsuya flipped her over. He shoved his cock back inside her snatch without a warning and began pounding her again.

He pressed her face against the ground causing her to wince in pain. Fortunately, the effect of his sexual skills made her ignore this minor trouble.

He roughly pumped his waist against her modest ass. She was elegant from birth and as if to prove it her breasts were the perfect size which also meant her ass was the perfect size as well.

They were plump but it didn't give him a skinny feel. The flesh of her backside was soft and hard at the same time, likely due to her developed muscles.

Horikita was already having a hard time breathing and now with his hand pressed over her face, she felt a weird struggle inside her. This kind of sex was too dominating. She liked it and disliked it at the same time.

But perhaps the entire reason she was even engaging in such activities was to try and help her forget the situation outside.

To help her forget the dead bodies, the screams and the eerie atmosphere.

Thinking up to this point her pussy constricted and Tatsuya was confused not understanding why she was suddenly tightening up.

Is she a masochist?

He wondered idly as he filled her up with his cum.

****

Tatsuya smiled as he looked at the exhausted Horikita,

She was lying on her back staring at the ceiling with mixed emotions.

"Is this love?" She asked, her body shivering in hidden delight despite having just been pounded.

Tatsuya never really knew what love was. He wasn't being edgy or anything but he never really understood why anyone could sacrifice or put themselves in danger for others.

Of course, he knew the meaning and emotions behind it but he never felt these emotions himself and he probably won't going forward.

Was he a flawed human being?

Perhaps... but what exactly is a flaw?

If love causes irrational behaviour and mindless actions is it not a flaw? Or is the very concept of not feeling love a flaw?

Nonetheless, that didn't stop him from answering her.

"Love is whatever you feel like it is."

"Really?" Horikita was stunned.

For some reason, she felt a huge weight lift off her shoulders.

"I see." She smiled, "I guess there's really no need to complicate it." She looked at Tatsuya and her smile brightened.

"I love you."

Tatsuya remained silent at her confession before letting out a sigh.

Under her confused gaze, he raised his hand and struck her neck.

"... I love you too I guess."

-x-X-x-

Tatsuya looked at the unconscious girl with tender eyes.

He cast [Clean] before redressing her. Picking her up in his arms in a princess carry he left the cave. Immediately sunlight shone down on them in pieces as the leaves of the numerous trees shielded them.

Tatsuya walked towards the shore of the island calmly and it didn't take him long to notice numerous dead bodies.

All children who had yet to begin life.

With indifferent eyes, Tatsuya ignored them and reached the shore. He immediately noticed something odd.

A red-haired girl was sitting in the distance.

Behind her were several other girls, all unconscious.

But what made him curious was the body in front of the red-haired girl. With his superhuman eyes, he could see the body was still twitching in response to the red-haired girl's movement.

Tatsuya closed in on her.

"Amasawa."

The red-haired girl was stunned and turned back.

Despite having a mask over her face the excitement in her eyes was clear to see.

"Master!"

Tatsuya raised a brow but didn't call her out for it. She could call him whatever she liked.

Amasawa threw the mask away and smiled brightly seeing him accept the nickname, "This one was giving you quite the hateful glare so I gave him some special treatment."

Tatsuya placed Horikita among Ichinose, Hasabe, Kushida, Kei, Sakura, Hiyori and a few others. They were all the pretty ones from each class and everyone ever involved with Tatsuya.

He looked over Amasawa's shoulder and his lips twitched.

"Hirata?"

Yes.

The pathetic, still alive, and tortured man was Hirata.

Tatsuya sighed and couldn't even be bothered to describe his state. He clicked his fingers and burnt his body to ashes.

"I considered him a good friend. I'm not pleased with what you did." Tatsuya looked at Amasawa sternly before staring at the dark clouds in the sky.

It was no longer raining nor were there any signs of lightning.

"Given up, have you?" Tatsuya smiled and started conversing with the System.

Meanwhile, Amasawa was given a fright. She could practically taste the frigid coldness in his voice. He was quite likely mad at her.

She frowned and adjusted her mindset once again. She shouldn't do anything uncalled for and stick to listening orders.

It wasn't exactly her fault, she thought that since they were leaving the world Tatsuya didn't care about anyone.

For those he did care about he instructed her in advance, which were the girls. The army wielding the katanas were all blood clones so they didn't need to be briefed.

While she was lost in thought she quickly noticed something and froze in surprise.

A golden thread seemed to escape Tatsuya's chest and circled in front of them for a few brief seconds. The golden thread seemed to be something new as even the magical man in front of her was looking at the thread with curiosity

The thread began spinning with vigor and it didn't take long for the thread to erect straight. The golden thread began to expand and it soon became a gate.

Amasawa looked at the world behind the gate in fascination.

It was pure white.

An endless stretch of white.

It reminded her of the Whiteroom.

By the time she came back to her senses, she saw Tatsuya walk into the gate.

"Come"

That was all he said and Amasawa ran behind him.

****

It was serene.

That was my first thought as I stepped into the so-called Heavenly Realm.

"Is this really it?" A frown inevitably etched across my face as I gazed at the sky of this endless white domain.

[Yes, Host!]

"I really like knowing things that don't concern me at the moment." I ignored Amasawa's bewildered gaze. She might be wondering why I was talking to myself but it was okay.

It's Amasawa after all.

As for why I was questioning the System.

The fragmented sky which appeared similar to a broken mirror was enough to warrant suspicion. Surely the grandiose Heavenly Realm could not be like this?

Absurd.

[Heavenly Spirits that have not reached the Fourth Tier are not actually considered one. They are called Pseudo-Spirits. Pseudo-Spirits aren't given the right to join the Heavenly Realm till they form their own Heavenly Domain. Heavenly Spirits without Domains and those with Domains are leagues apart. If we were to go to a world of a Fourth Tier Heavenly Spirit we'd be detected and instantly killed.]

Hmm.

Pseudo-Spirits huh...

Even Heavenly Spirits have a childhood phase.

How adorable.

Anyways, where's the Heavenly Spirit?

[It's hiding itself.]

...Is that scorn?

The cold melodic voice which had remained emotionless all this time was quite apparent with its disdain, Can't lie her voice does sound hot like this, can I command it to keep this tone?

Thoughts for later I guess.

"Bring it out."

At my command, numerous golden threads shot out of me. Where are these threads even coming from? They resemble the threads from [Soul Eater].

The threads shot out like claws and whipped a particular area of space. As if the world itself was being distorted we were hit with an earthquake. Amasawa was looking at her feet curiously, probably wondering why there was an earthquake in a place like this.

I looked at the space where the golden threads were lashing and noticed a small tear. It looked like a stroke of jet-black ink on a blank sheet of paper.

[Tear it open, Host.]

The System tried to hide it but the excitement it held was questionable.

I couldn't help but sigh with swirling thoughts before grabbing the tear and forcing it open.

*Rip---!*

The scene inside the tear was astonishing.

The space inside it was jet black, completely devoid of any other colour.

But that wasn't all.

At the centre of the space was a humanoid being. It didn't have any skin, it didn't have a face nor did it have any distinct shape.

All I could tell was that it looked human-ish.

What I find interesting is the composition of this being. It was a blend of black and white, like Yin and Yang. Even stranger was that the colours weren't fixed in place. They were constantly moving across the 'body' of this being.

The only thing fixed was the numerous golden threads chaotically wrapped around its body.

If it weren't for this I wouldn't even be able to tell if it had a humanoid shape or not.

The only annoying thing was the constant pressure being emitted from the being.

[It might have not developed yet but its roots belong to Heaven.]

The System explained.

So that's how it is huh?

Isn't it wonderful that I've found myself trapped in a playful game of cosmic beings?

Hahaha.

[Host!]

The System barked.

[Can I devour it?]

The Heavenly Spirit trembled.

I could sense a wave of grief emitting from it.

A smile involuntarily surfaced, against my will.

"No."

-x-X-x-

The Heavenly Spirit felt the parasitic threads loosen.

It was confused.

What else was there left to take from it?

The Heavenly Spirit did not understand the concept of mercy,

It was a natural predator.

Who dared besmirch the authority of the gods?

A few lowly ants dared to rise but all of them were squashed and devoured. A few tried escaping but it was futile, none could escape the rules of Heaven.

All living beings were bound by the rules and regulations of Heaven.

But there were a few odd occurrences.

They were called Anomalies.

And in front of it was the only surviving Anomaly.

It cared not for the fleshly human but for the thing bound to its soul. It never even registered Tatsuya in its gaze, all it was concerned about was the distorted shadow behind him.

It was cracked and shattered, similar to the fragmented sky.

But its vastness was far more grandiose.

As if comparing Earth to the Sun.

The Heavenly Spirit knew its end was near.

It was sad.

But that's all.

It did not know the concept of mercy nor would it ever prostrate.

For it was a being from Heaven.

-x-X-x-

[Are you sure, Host?]

It asked.

"I believe I've made myself clear." Tatsuya smiled, "Of course, I am but a lowly human. Why not disregard my command and simply devour it? Nothing is stopping you."

The System didn't answer.

"Or is it because it's not worth it?" Tatsuya laughed while examining the Heavenly Spirit, "What could a lowly Tier 1 Heavenly Spirit offer you other than being a refreshment?"

Instead of an answer smoke began gushing out of his body. He looked at it curiously and much to his surprise another humanoid being was formed.

But unlike the Heavenly Spirit, it was distinctly human.

The form of a woman had taken shape.

She stood like a shard of moonlight, her silver hair flowing like ethereal silk around a face pale as carved jade, flawless yet cold. One eye glowed with an ancient, piercing light, while the other was obscured by black, jagged feathers that seemed to grow from her flesh.

They did not seem connected.

Her dark clothes clung to her lithe frame. There was a faint glowing sigil etched at her chest, pulsing menacingly.

Around her, chaotic black feathers fanned outward like fractured wings.

Tatsuya looked at her coldly.

"Do you not like it?" She spoke, her voice tingling in his ears as it was an ethereal melody, "I specially crafted this form for you."

She floated towards him.

Her dainty fingers stroked his face as a mother would to her child.

Yet Tatsuya felt nothing. Quite literally he didn't as the woman in front of him was not made of flesh.

She appeared to be like a ghost or a phantom.

"It's beautiful." He said honestly.

Yet the System didn't buy it. No man would call a woman beautiful while looking at her with such frost.

"Then what has made you dissatisfied?"

"Your pathetic attempt at trying to control me with lust."

Tatsuya despised it.

He despised when others thought they could control his actions through his hobbies or desires.

"I see." The woman continued to float in a carefree manner, "How about giving me a name? You won't be calling me 'System' the whole time will you?"

"Since when could you appear like this?" He asked curiously.

"The moment you upgraded me." The woman sighed, every movement of hers was infinitely arousing, words alone could not describe how much Tatsuya was controlling himself.

The System looked at him with a smile.

"I'll be able to construct a fleshly body if you upgrade the System again." Its smile was full of meaning and Tatsuya grew interested.

"You won't care about what I'd do with you?"

"You'll soon come to realise that fleshly bodies are insignificant Yamamoto. She smiled softly.

"How wonderful. Tatsuya couldn't stop admiring her figure.

She was far too beautiful to be ignored.

"You don't have to think too much. Our souls are one Yamamoto, if you die I'll die and if I die you will also die. You are no longer Adrian Frost or Yamamoto Tatsuya, and neither am I the System. We're one being. An Anomaly."

"Oh really?" Tatsuya tilted his head in surprise, "So if I fucked you would that be selfcest?"

"Selfcest?" The System was baffled, it looked through his memories and smiled wryly. "I suppose so, but having sex with yourself is probably the least of your worries."

"Well fine, I'll believe you. I don't have any other choice in the first place." For Tatsuya, it was hard to admit this but the moment he was bound to the System he rationalised that he was going to be controlled.

If it was telling the truth then he didn't have to worry about anything.

"Since you asked for a name, how about Kaguya?"

"Hmm?" The System looked at him curiously before raising her eyebrows, "Is it because I look similar to her?"

"Yeah. It's not wrong to call you both goddesses is it?"

"I suppose so." Kaguya nodded her head and understood his reasoning.

She couldn't deny that the form she took had some resemblance to Kaguya Otsutsuki from Naruto. The body she had formed was specially crafted to seduce him and give him a goal to work towards. She was surprised to see him resist and that raised her impression of him in her mind.

Her current form in itself was a form of test.

Atest of willpower.

Even the personality she set for herself was ambiguous. As long as Tatsuya was pleased she cared not, for a being like her dignity, pride etc were all garbage. Only survival mattered.

The parasite had found a host it could not possibly escape from.

From here on after death meant the end of them.

She could not possibly allow that.

-x-X-x-

"Is that the one you're bringing along?"

Kaguya looked behind him and gestured towards the obediently silent Amasawa.

"Looks like she can't see you."

"She does not need to," She replied before shifting her attention to the Heavenly Spirit.

"She'll bring some entertainment to my life in the next world. What if it's a dangerous one? Can't go sexless can I?" He joked.

"Hmm, considering your personality you won't even go out till you're sure you're strong enough to survive." Kaguya shook her head mischievously.

"You understand me well."

"You've struck quite the heavy deal with me for the sake of soul protection, of course I know you."

Kaguya smiled and stretched her hand out, "Since you refuse to kill it I might as well take over."

Her form began to break and she returned to her initial smoky form. The smoke swirled for a bit before drilling into the Heavenly Spirit.

The Heavenly Spirit trembled and its form began to change.

There was a faint echo of sadness that disappeared as quickly as it appeared. Amasawa looked around in surprise.

Tatsuya ignored her and looked at the rapidly changing Heavenly Spirit.

Instead of its originally distorted form, Kaguya's phantom form had taken over. Smoke erupted from the emotionless Kaguya and another Kaguya was formed.

The emotionless Kaguya had replaced the Heavenly Spirit and would now act in its stead.

"I've replaced it. Since you want to keep this world, I can maintain it for a few hundred years at most. I'm not a real Heavenly Spirit so I can't sustain it."

"Why can only Heavenly Spirits sustain these worlds?" Tatsuya frowned as he noted this point.

Kaguya frowned as well before shaking her head in dismay, "My memories are blurry. Unless I regain my true form I can't tell. All I know is that it's because of rules and regulations."

Kaguya shook her head once again.

"Nonetheless, Yamamoto Tatsuya it is time to leave."

In response to the real Kaguya, the cross-legged emotionless Kaguya lifted her hand and flipped her palm.

On top of it appeared the blurry visage of a gracefully flowing river.

The emotionless Kaguya formed a pinching motion with her fingers and pulled a strand of water from the river. The strand of water formed into a stream that circled in between her fingertips, forming a sphere.

The Real Kaguya frowned, "I've underestimated it. I can't maintain this world for more than two hundred years. That sphere indicates that I've stopped time for this world."

She sighed, "But eventually it'll overload. The sphere will burst and time will continue to flow naturally. Once time flows this form of mine will disintegrate and the world will collapse."

"That's fine. It's just a world. It's not like I have some deep attachment to it. Were it not that I knew that devouring this world poses no benefit for you I would've let you do it."

"You're correct. We are a Tier-1 Being to begin with, consuming the Origin Source of another Tier 1 brings no benefits." Kaguya nodded, "Only by becoming a true Tier-3 Being can we invade the realm of True Heaven and slowly devour the real Heavenly Spirits without being discovered. She paused and sat down in front of Tatsuya, "Observe this."

Tatsuya followed her lead and sat down in front of her.

Similar to the emotionless Kaguya, the real Kaguya lifted her palm and several strands of multi-coloured threads appeared on top of it.

Tatsuya noted they consisted of four different colours, mainly red, yellow, green, and white.

"These are the bridges I've connected to different worlds." Kaguya had now discarded any sort of personality she was acting out.

Tatsuya noted that her aura now resembled that of a cold emotionless machine.

"The colours of the bridge were originally black but I've changed it to explain some things for you."

"Let me guess." Tatsuya raised his hand, "The red threads belong to dangerous worlds, the yellow threads mean dangerous but survivable, the green mean worlds I will still be able to dominate should I choose to and the white threads should indicate worlds like Classroom of the Elite. Right?"

"Correct." Kaguya nodded with satisfaction and raised her palm, "The red ones I won't allow you to select, though I know you won't."

Tatsuya listened silently.

"You can choose the green worlds if you want but I won't recommend it. It would be a waste of time. I suppose I don't need to talk about the white threads, you wouldn't want to waste World Essence to travel to a useless world. Ultimately, I'd recommend choosing a yellow world despite the risks. If you don't act recklessly we can immediately become Tier-3 Beings."

"Alright, I'll go with your suggestion." Tatsuya curiously poked the threads but they didn't budge, it was as if he was poking a rock.

"Then choose one of the yellow threads. That'll be the world you'll move to."

"You won't tell me the identity of them?"

"I can't. I can only sense the essence of the worlds and determine their level."

"That's disappointing."

Nonetheless, he plucked one of the threads and the rest disappeared.

The yellow thread swirled and formed into a majestic gate.

"Let's hope the world is exciting." Tatsuya smiled broadly and looked at Kaguya, "Have you done what I asked you to do earlier?"

"I have. It was a good choice to discard all of the useless abilities you gained for more World Essence." Kaguya looked at Amasawa and her pale eyes glinted, "Do you know..."

She floated in front of Tatsuya but his gaze was fixed on the gate behind her. Kaguya didn't mind this and simply appeared in front of him.

With gentle movements, she cupped his face, as if she wasn't just a phantom.

"You've made me realise how lucky I am to have chosen you as my host. May we eternally prosper till there is none but us." She let out a smile so enchanting that even Tatsuya was bewitched.

He stared at her in a daze before breaking into a soft smile. He looked at the docile Amasawa before shaking his head.

"I hope so."

-x-X-x-

Amasawa who had been curiously observing him felt an ominous shiver go down her spine.

She had a lot of questions.

She looked at the yellow gate with some surprise and came to a conclusion.

Tatsuya was talking to something she couldn't observe.

The echo of grief from earlier should be related to it...

Amasawa kept her doubts to herself and decided to ask later.

The echo of grief from earlier should be related to it....

Amasawa kept her doubts to herself and decided to ask later.

She saw Tatsuya stand in front of the gate in silence.

A moment later he turned around and smiled at her lovingly.

"Let's go."

Amasawa smiled in response.

They both disappeared into the yellow gate and the emotionless Kaguya watched the yellow gate close and vanish.

She let out a sweet smile, "Hope is worth no more than a delusion."

She returned to her initial state and everything went silent.

The world had frozen and the only thing signifying the presence of time was the swirling sphere of water in between her fingertips.
