But this time, I was ready.
"Star Magic: Celestial Resonance!" I invoked, my voice ringing out like a melody of defiance against the chaotic frequency of Elara's attack.
Starlight shimmered around me, forming a halo of constellations that pulsed in harmony with my heartbeat. The disruptive sound waves clashed against the celestial field, and like waves crashing against the shore, they were absorbed, nullified, and dispersed. The air around me grew still — silent, peaceful — and I took a step forward.
"Elara," I said coldly, my gaze locking with hers. "You were always the clever one… So why did you choose the wrong side?"
Her smile faltered, just a little, as the starlight intensified.
"I am the right side," she whispered, but even she didn't seem to believe it anymore.
I dashed forward, electricity crackling around me, the stars guiding my blade.
"Fourth Sun — Nova Severance!"
