I settled into my seat after teasing Ino. She looked a little stunned, and her eyes were unfocused.
'Did I overdo it?' I thought as I looked around. Everyone was looking at me and at Ino at the same time, quite likely comparing the image that they had seen with Ino's current appearance.
The fun didn't last for long, though, as everyone else quite simply transformed into Iruka, making the entire session quite boring. I also didn't have any covert skills except for chakra control, so instead of being bored watching everyone perform the same jutsu, I focused on chakra.
I closed my eyes and, after searching for a bit, sensed the chakra flowing through me quite clearly. Narumi and I had the most chakras in the class, including Iruka. With my reserves firmly remaining on top.
Measuring contest aside, I focused more on the chakra flowing through me. Even though I was able to use the jutsu right now, I realized my chakra control wasn't very good. I was able to form a connection with the chakra flowing through my body, but it didn't last long, and even if it did, I had limited control over how much pressure I could exert.
Still, after performing my first jutsu moments ago, the chakra flow then was incomparably smoother than it is now. So what could be different is that it is like muscle memory, and my chakra can follow my instructions like that because it is used to being nudged in that direction.
The questions kept piling up as I explored the issue. Because of the blurry memories, I had to guess how Ninjutsu worked. Making the Ram seal, one of the seals that I used when using the transformation technique, the change was obvious. For a short while, it lasted for almost half a second; I felt like I had greater control over my chakra.
Redoing the seal, I was easily able to gather and hold the chakra at the center of my body for a while before it dispersed back into the chakra system. The Eye of the Kagura skill worked well for me, as I could feel my chakra move precisely. Mapping my chakra network was a simple chore that I felt I could accomplish quite easily.
Still, the reason Ninjutsu worked remains a mystery. If every ninjutsu is linked to these hand seals, surely trying multiple combinations could uncover more ninjutsu. My curiosity about this topic, though, would have to remain buried. It would not look good for someone of my caliber, who could already perform said ninjutsu, to ask such basic questions.
Everything would have to wait until I could either get my hands on scrolls from basic lessons or get access to the Library. Something 'Naruto' had never visited.
"Good job, everyone was able to perform the Transformation Jutsu to an acceptable degree," Iruka complimented, his eyes lingering on me. He didn't mention anything, though, as he continued, "As this is your last month in the Academy, the instructors have decided not to hinder your progress too much. As most of you have demonstrated enough skill to pass the exams, you must be present for the first class every day. The rest of the time, you are free to progress independently."
Everyone cheered at that. After hesitating for a bit, Iruka shook his head and decided to leave it be. He nodded toward the general direction of the class before he vanished. My eyes looked around and found the open door, which was likely how he had left the classroom.
'If he used the Body Flicker Technique, then he shouldn't have enough control to open the gate. And if that was his pure speed, then I'm a little too far behind. And that means that there was no way that Naruto should have been able to beat up Mizuki in the canon.' My skepticism over the matter aside. This new policy suited me just fine, as I needed time to get used to these skills, even though the muscle memory was still there.
"Wanna train together? Naruto-kun?" Ino asked as I stood up. I looked at the smile on her face and nodded. Who doesn't like to be accompanied by a pretty girl?
Ignoring her surprise, I swiftly made my way outside the class. With the map unavailable, I had no choice but to rely on those familiar feelings to navigate the village. Instead of taking the path toward the Uzumaki household, I turned left.
Ino hopped alongside me, and her curiosity compelled her to speak up, "Why did you transform into me looking like that? Do you think I should get a tan?"
I looked toward her. She really was gullible right now. Though the tan would look good on her, it was under the pretext that she could pull off the Gyaru look, which would be difficult with her current bust size.
"Maybe it would suit you when you grow a little more," I commented. Mentally bringing up her page in the LEWD List. Interestingly, a simple action of mine earlier this morning affected her mental state.
