"So glad that Hasuke and I had worked with the local enforcement to evacuate the people of this district whilst you were handling the Dreamweaver," Yoru comments as she lets out a whistle at the entire scene infront of her.
Hikaru looked up at her with a shocked face and thought, "So they were purposely getting me beat?!"
Yoru jumps down on the broken road as she continues speaking, "The Agency is allowed to inflict collateral damage to take care of Eclipses as much as possible, but darn this is a historical city... Oh well, one thing for certain is the other directors won't be happy about this"
Hasuke flies down next to Yoru, his hands trembling a bit yet there was a hint of confidence in his body. "You can seal my powers back up again, Yoru... I don't like the old feeling I get from that attack I just used," Hasuke says softly as he offer his hands towards her.
Yoru shakes her head and pats his shoulder playfully. "It's okay. I have a feeling that we might need you specially. I don't trust the New Faith Order and any of their so called commanders. I thought Nakamura had been taken care of over a decade ago yet he is still scheming... And the worse of all, the legend of Sora Makizushi is true and now the Order has him in their fray," Yoru says as she walks ahead of Hasuke looking up at the sky, her hands behind her back.
She tilted her head back, her hair cascading down on her shoulders as she continued, "We must be prepared for whatever difficulties arise, Hasuke. And you too Hikaru... I see potential in you". Yoru walked towards Hikaru her eyes looking down into his as if she expected much from this sixteen year old.
Yoru sauntered her way towards the limp bodies of Harushi and Ren. She sat down on the ground and placed her palms on their chests feeling their heartbeat.
"The worst thing about an Eclipse is even if they are dead, their techniques still last," Yoru says as white wispy aura emerges from her plams.
"Soul Embodiment"
Yoru uses her Senzai Art as Harushi's and Ren's bodies convulsed below her hands. Their pupils coming back down and their body grimacing in pain from the technique used by Lucy.
"AHHHH! OKAY OKAY! ENOUGH!", the two yelled desperate as Yoru pulled back and looked at their behaviour.
"G-god... That b***h... My body hurts so much... My nerves feel like they are on fire," Harushi comments as he slowly sits up. Ren followed suit.
Hikaru smiled ecstatically as he ran towards the two and hugged them both with adoration. "Gosh... Guys, I thought- I thought you were gone!", Hikaru says his voice cracking as his tears up.
SMACK!
Harushi smirked as he slapped his back with a vine whip and replied, "If I die...I die saving you, not like this hehe~". Hikaru held his back as he yowled. Ren started laughing at the scene and so did Hasuke and Yoru.
"Hehe~ Reminds me of ourselves when we were younger," Hasuke comments as he looks around glad that everything ended well.
As Hikaru continued hugging his friends he recalled the memories at Kawagoe, but one memory hurt him like a thorn: he actually killed an innocent man, the husband of the family Lucy put them and himself in Oneiric Daydream. Alongside hundreds of lives Hikaru let die because of his own weakness by getting dragged around by Lucy. He felt remorseful. What was he anyways?
The camera pans away into the sky as the chapter of their hard fought battle ends with a cruel reminder for Hikaru and a bittersweet ending.
The days passed in a blur and soon enough it was 31st December 1987
The blanket of snow had covered a good portion of the Kanto region of Honshu, Japan. The entire Tokyo Meglopolis Area still had Christmas Decorations and blurry neon lights under the light fog highlighting the city's preparations for New Year's 1988. Streets covered in snow even though they were cleaned regularly.
Kawagoe District, in Saitama Prefecture had been put under containment to rebuild as efforts by local authorities. The reign of terror the Dreamweaver Eclipse had on Kawagoe had finally been buried in the ruins.
Hikaru had a winter break from university. He sat at his desk, in his apartment in the Minato Ward of Tokyo. A cup of green tea in his hands as he sipped it slowly, taking a good look at the city below.
He had moved on from his regrets understanding that what happened has happened and now he should focus solely on getting stronger for the good of humanity as whole. He contemplated the last few weeks. He was here at his window where his journey started: he saw a girl running down the street chased by the weird Demogorgon Eclipse. Then he met Sora Makizushi, then became a Junior Agent, then met Harushi and everything after was a bittersweet memory.
Ren laid at the lower half of the new bunk bed Hikaru was able to buy from his meagre pay at the agency. Ren had a bag of chips next to him as he played video games on the old TV box. Hikaru had a video game console called the "Ditendo Entertainment System" which Ren was using to entertain himself.
Ren or Ren Yamada in his full name had made Hikaru's apartment a sanctuary for himself. He didn't have any education himself, but he was working in the Agency as a Junior Agent too.
"Yo bro, when's the new year's dinner or something with the agency?", Ren mumbled as he snacked on the chips with a crunch.
"Huh? Dinner? Oh," Hikaru replied softly as he suddenly remembered that he and Ren had to arrive at Roppongi, a lively entertainment district in Minato Ward for restaurants and more. The Agency had given them an invite to arrive at specific restaurant there at 9 PM sharp.
Hikaru leaned over his chair and gave a quick glance at the clock: 8:45 PM. Yikes.
"REN! GET READY WE ARE RUNNING LATE!", Hikaru yells as he falls over his chair. He gets up quickly scrambling on his toes towards his closet. Ren immediately jumps off the bed throwing the chips bag into the bin as he also looked into the closet.
There, two half wrinkled suits were hung by a hangar. It was not the "impressive display" but it sure was better than nothing.
The two quickly stripped off their pajamas, still in their boxers. They began wearing their respective shirt and pants. They knotted up an unimpressive tie and wore their coat on as they hurried to wear their shoes.
The moment they leave the building they are hit by spine chilling cold. Ren wrapped arms around himself, shivering. Hikaru just shrugged the cold off as he couldn't really feel it much. They started walking down the streets of Minato City to reach Roppongi.
"Brr- god damn this cold... It's freezing! I flipping hope the food is good otherwise I'll punch someone in the face!", Ren mumbled loud enough for Hikaru to hear.
