Chapter 388 - Chapter 388

Vientiane World, Teleport Square

The spacious square of the Vientiane World was shrouded in a swirling blue-gray mist, its eerie calm broken only by the steady rotation of three glowing spatial vortexes at its center.

Occasionally, teenagers in a variety of outfits stumbled out of the vortexes. Some were dressed in crisp, professional attire, while others wore casual clothes reminiscent of students or even gang members. Yet, no matter their appearance, the moment they stepped into the square, they inhaled the pervasive mist hanging in the air.

Within moments, each newcomer collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

As the bodies piled up, Snape, standing on the edge of the square, waved his wand with precision. One by one, the unconscious Muggles floated into the air and were carefully placed at the perimeter of the square. Within minutes, the center was cleared again, leaving an ominous emptiness in its wake.

Despite this routine, Snape's attention was not focused on the square itself. His gaze was locked on the surveillance magic circle hovering above, his senses heightened as he monitored every spatial vortex and energy fluctuation within the Vientiane World.

For some time, however, his meticulous observation yielded no anomalies. The world seemed stable—or at least as stable as it could be amidst the current chaos.

Snape's vigilance never wavered. Through the magic circle, he saw his students performing admirably. Some knocked out invading Muggles with well-placed spells, while others worked together to construct containment circles around the space vortexes. A few even pooled their magic to try and neutralize the vortexes themselves, though their efforts had little effect.

Snape's lips twitched in a rare expression of approval. The chaos of the situation might have overwhelmed lesser minds, but his students were rising to the occasion. This was what he and Lockhart had envisioned: a generation of elite wizards capable of thinking independently and working as a cohesive unit.

Still, a gnawing uncertainty crept into Snape's thoughts.

If I were Loki, seeking to claim the throne of Asgard, or Mephisto, trying to invade Earth, what would I do?

Snape's mind raced through a series of questions:

Would I unite all available resources to achieve my goals? Of course.

Does the Vientiane World have enough resources to justify an invasion? Absolutely. Its magical reserves alone could fuel the opening of countless space channels.

Is it logical to strike at multiple targets simultaneously to divide attention? Undoubtedly, especially with Kamar Taj, Asgard, and the Vientiane World all posing potential threats.

Despite his sharp reasoning, one question continued to haunt him: Why hasn't the enemy appeared in the Vientiane World yet?

Snape's eyes narrowed as he considered the possibilities. The three major temples were unlikely targets; they were heavily guarded and resource-poor. Kamar Taj's headquarters in the Himalayas was rich in magical resources, but the presence of the Sorcerer Supreme made it an equally improbable choice.

Suddenly, the answer struck him like a bolt of lightning. The secret realm of Kamar Taj!

Rich in resources yet lacking in formidable defenses, the secret realm was a veritable paradise for any sorcerer—or an invader like Loki.

Before Snape could act on his realization, the hum of a new spatial vortex shattered his thoughts. In the bustling trading area of the Vientiane World, a portal emerged, emitting a chilling aura.

This time, it wasn't teenagers or Muggles who emerged.

Fifteen figures clad in black robes stepped forward, their foreheads marked with sinister lines and their bodies radiating a palpable dark energy.

Dormammu followers.

Without hesitation, each follower produced a crystal ball, pouring dark magic into the translucent spheres.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The crystal balls shattered one after another, releasing invisible ripples that spread outward, cloaking the area in a protective shroud.

Snape's sharp mind immediately recognized the tactical significance. These followers were shielding themselves, rendering outside communication impossible. Wasting no time, Snape used his magical brand to send an urgent message to Lockhart, sharing both the appearance of Dormammu's followers and his suspicions about the secret realm.

Then, he acted.

With a swirl of black light, Snape Apparated directly in front of the Dormammu followers. His presence loomed over the square, and his voice echoed through the Vientiane World.

"All students, listen carefully!" Snape's command was clear and unyielding. "There is an invasion by Dormammu followers. Stop what you're doing and retreat to the recreation area. Do not engage!"

Wanda, Ian, Vera, and the other apprentices obeyed without hesitation. Though fear flickered in their eyes, they had been trained well and knew their limitations.

As the students retreated, Snape felt a weight lift from his shoulders. At least they were safe—for now.

Raising his wand, Snape unleashed a torrent of magic. Dark green light spiraled into the sky, activating the vast network of defensive magic circles embedded throughout the Vientiane World.

The air shimmered as interwoven lines of red, green, and black magic lit up, their collective energy radiating across the square.

Boom!

Beams of light rained down on the Dormammu followers, each strike aiming to obliterate the invaders.

But the followers were prepared. Calling upon their dark magic, they conjured a dense black mist that enveloped them, shielding them from the assault.

The resulting explosion was deafening. White light flashed like a miniature sun, followed by a mushroom cloud of dust and debris.

Snape staggered, his face pale and his hand trembling as he clutched his wand. The combined magic of the defensive circles had taken a toll on him, leaving him drained and vulnerable.

As the dust settled, Snape's heart sank.

Nearly half of the Dormammu followers lay on the ground, their bodies bloodied and broken. But the remaining ones, though injured, were still formidable.

Snape's breath hitched as he downed a golden healing potion, the liquid working quickly to mend his wounds. Yet he knew it wouldn't be enough.

The followers, sensing his vulnerability, summoned blood-red magic spears and hurled them toward him.

"Protego Maxima!" Snape cast spell after spell, trying to block the onslaught, but his defenses faltered under the relentless barrage.

At that critical moment, a unified voice rang out:

"Absolute Zero!"

Behind Snape, a group of apprentices had returned, their wands raised in unison. Resonating their magic, they conjured a massive ice barrier, its surface glowing with an otherworldly chill.

"Professor Snape, we'll hold the line! You recover and prepare!" Ian shouted, his voice resolute.

Snape hesitated, then nodded. A faint smile of pride crossed his face as he retreated behind the barrier, his students' courage renewing his resolve.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The spears clashed against the ice barrier, cracks spreading across its surface. Yet the apprentices stood firm, pouring their magic into reinforcing the defense.

On the other side, the Dormammu followers knelt, chanting fervently as black mist swirled around them.

"Dormammu, grant us your power! Let despair consume our enemies!"

A dark storm began to form, its destructive energy shaking the very foundation of the Vientiane World. Buildings crumbled, and the ice barrier groaned under the immense pressure.

The remaining Dormammu believers were kneeling on the ground, muttering constantly, and a large amount of black mist filled the surroundings.

In the perception of the wizard apprentices and others, the dark energy emitted by the enemy became more powerful and profound, and even made them feel fear from the bottom of their hearts.

"We will sacrifice the souls of the blasphemer and his disciples to the great god of darkness."

"."

As Dormammu believers continued to call out the gods they believed in, waves began to stir up in the nearby space.

The wind howled, darkness, fear, despair and other breaths rushed towards my face.

The faces of all the wizard apprentices turned pale, and the fear in their hearts kept pouring out.

However, after undergoing rigorous training, they still gritted their teeth and insisted on instilling all the magic power in their bodies towards the ice barrier in front.

Trying to fend off the next attack.

Snape, who had just recovered from his injuries, seemed to sense a fatal threat and quickly waved his wand to join in the joint spellcasting.

But the uneasy thoughts in his heart became stronger and stronger.

But now the only thing he can do, besides casting spells with all his strength to resist, is to keep calling Lockhart through the magic brand.

Damn it, why isn't Lockhart here yet?

Is it possible that Magic Brand's communications have been blocked?

Thinking of this, Snape couldn't help but have desperate thoughts in his heart.

This time, it is very likely that not only will he fail, but all the students and even the entire world will fail.

In fact, the crystal ball that the Dormammu followers smashed onto the ground when they first arrived was a magic item that blocked communications.

In any life-and-death battle, cutting off communications means cutting off potential support.

This is combat consciousness and combat experience.

Lockhart has it, and so do the followers of Dormammu.

However, at the beginning, before the shielding spread to the entire world, Snape contacted Lockhart.

But when the shielding spread to the entire world, everything was banned.

All information can only be exchanged in Vientiane World.

Except, of course, calling upon the gods.

"My god will descend with the magnificent power of darkness and destruction, destroying the blasphemer in front of you."

The huge dark power from Dormammu descends.

call! call! call!

The wind howled, a black storm descended, and the trading area of the entire Vientiane World began to shake.

The store began to shatter, a large number of cracks appeared in the space, and large areas of the building were swallowed up and consumed.

The dark storm spread towards Snape Ian and other sorcerer apprentices.

Before it was completely touched, Senhan's ice barrier seemed unable to withstand the pressure of the dark storm.

It began to crack and shatter, and the joint cast was forcibly broken.

puff! puff!

Ian, Vera, including Wanda, and Snape all suffered strong magical backlash, turning pale and vomiting blood.

However, they haven't finished adjusting their breath yet.

Buzz!

A dark storm was coming towards them.

Everyone was eroded by the power of darkness, began to age at a speed visible to the naked eye, and their magic power began to disappear.

Then darkness fell and consciousness disappeared.

Death, everyone!
