The silence was shattered by Antonio's explosive outburst. "You're the reason my sister is dead, and you got my girlfriend pregnant! Why should I be the one to suffer?" he spat, his voice filled with hatred.
Maxwell's expression was contrite. "I know I can't undo what's been done, but I'm truly sorry."
Antonio's fury erupted. "Sorry? Sorry won't bring my sister back or undo the damage you've done! It means nothing!"
Liam intervened, his voice calm but firm. "Antonio, calm down." He shot Maxwell a deadly glare before turning back to Antonio. "You want to know the irony? Vicent came to me for help to take down Liam, not realizing I'm the one they're trying to destroy."
Liam's laughter was cold and mirthless. He nodded at Antonio, giving him a silent signal. Antonio sprang into action, pinning Maxwell's hand to the table with a swift motion.
