Chapter 337 - MD-Chapter 334 Two Cursed Elves

Loki set the book aside, turning to Arthur with a frown. "If you hadn't shown up and sent them back, I would have thought this was all part of your scheme."

"I'm afraid I can't control the movements of the Dark Elves," Arthur replied with a shrug.

"But you possess the ability of foresight," Loki said, fixing his gaze on Arthur. "If this is your gift, I must admit, you humans can be quite terrifying."

Arthur smirked. "If I can make someone like you feel a hint of fear, perhaps that's something to take pride in."

He prepared to move forward, but Loki interjected, "It would be best if you stayed cautious; cursed elves are not toys to be easily controlled, especially not two of them."

"...Two?"

Arthur turned sharply to look at Loki.

"Two," Loki confirmed, a laugh escaping him. "You didn't know?"

"What did you say to them?" Arthur quickly approached Loki.

"Look at you, begging me; finally, you're not wearing that annoying expression of having everything under control, you foolish mortal! How does it feel when things slip from your grasp? Is there a sense of joy in that?"

Loki's emotions flared; he was tired of Arthur's condescending attitude as if victory were a foregone conclusion.

Arthur frowned. "You told them the way to the Golden Palace. Damn it, Loki, are you trying to get your mother Frigga killed?"

"What?"

Loki was momentarily taken aback.

But Arthur had already turned to leave, and Loki shouted after him, "Come back! What do you mean by that? What did you see? You better pray I can never escape, and you better hope Frigga is absolutely fine. Otherwise, I will not spare you, you mere human!"

...

Arthur moved quickly; when he first arrived at this building, he had used the Eye of Horus to survey the surroundings.

This allowed him to pursue at great speed.

However, this did not ease Arthur's mind; only the information relayed from the Eye of Horus at Frigga's side calmed him slightly. At least, so far, Frigga had not encountered any problems.

It was precisely because the Eye of Horus had remained with Frigga that Arthur was unaware that two cursed elves had appeared deep within the prison.

This was completely illogical!

At least in the movies, there was only one!

How could another one suddenly appear? What was it aiming for?

In an instant, Arthur deduced what had happened: the two cursed elves had erupted into chaos, and Asgard's prison could not contain them. These two had wreaked havoc in the cells, releasing the prisoners, and when they passed by Loki, he had directed them toward the Golden Palace.

After that, he brought people over to suppress them, and the two cursed elves split into two groups.

One was taken down by him in a single encounter, while the other... should not have gotten too far!

With thoughts swirling in his mind, hearing the idiot's footsteps thundering, he simply slapped him, pulling him back into the Disassemble space, and then his figure vanished into the void. He needed to hurry to Frigga's side.

However, as he moved forward, Arthur frowned.

Loki thought he had the ability of foresight, but Arthur knew that Odin was the one who truly possessed such abilities.

In this situation, why was the old man still holding back?

The clown had already made it home, and he wasn't doing anything?

"Or... is he afraid to act?"

The Ancient One had once told Arthur a story about a person she encountered who was destined to die. To save this person, she sacrificed a lot. But in the end, it was precisely because of her actions that the person died.

Arthur couldn't imagine what kind of mindset Odin would have if he had already foreseen Frigga's death. Where would his hope lie...?

With a thought, Arthur's figure flickered and appeared in a palace.

"Arthur."

As soon as Arthur appeared, he heard Frigga calling out his name.

He glanced at her and sighed in relief. "You're okay; that's great."

Frigga smiled slightly. "It must have been hard to get here. What were you thinking?"

Arthur's gaze turned to the outside of the building, where a group of black battle drones was breaking through the clouds and charging toward the Golden Palace.

"I was thinking that Thor didn't stop them," Arthur said, looking at Frigga. "And right now, I can't leave your side for a moment."

"Trust me, even though I am old, I am not without protection."

Frigga drew a short sword. "I have knowledge of both magic and martial skills."

Arthur smiled and glanced at Jane... The Eye of Horus had already seen through this; it was a virtual magical gadget.

He shrugged and said, "I suddenly feel that Loki is actually most similar to you."

"Is that so?"

Frigga smiled at this and said with a hint of melancholy, "But that child... always makes me worry."

"If we could have a bright future, then everything would be worth it."

Arthur let out a gentle sigh and then looked toward the entrance, saying, "To be honest, I never expected that the current leader of the Dark Elves would be so audacious as to storm into the Golden Palace alone. Do they really think there is no one here?"

As he finished speaking, he saw a man dressed entirely in black, with only his face and hair white, walking into the entrance.

As soon as he entered, he fixed his gaze on Jane. "Little girl, you have taken something that does not belong to you."

Jane immediately stepped behind Frigga, who coldly replied, "It does not belong to you either."

"Queen Frigga," The man slightly bowed to her and then spoke, "I do not wish to engage in battle with you. If possible, we can resolve this in a more peaceful manner."

"No."

Arthur shook his head. "I think that since this is a problem that can be solved with violence, we shouldn't waste our breath on words."

"Who are you? A mere human?"

The man looked at Arthur. "Has Asgard fallen to the point where humans can roam freely?"

"I'll give you three seconds," Arthur pretended to check the time.

"For what?" the man laughed. "To recite your eulogy?"

"No... it's your last words, but unfortunately, it seems you have already given up this blessing."

As Arthur's words fell, a gray giant over three meters tall came crashing down from above the man's head.
