Hu Kun's hands were in his pockets as he tilted his chin up at Tang Anzhi, "Of course, there's a reason. I just got you out of an awkward situation, shouldn't you say thank you to me?"
Tang Anzhi scoffed lightly, "What awkward situation? Did I ask you to do that?"
That man didn't matter to her at all, was there a need for him to step in?
Yet he expected her thanks? What a thick face...
Hu Kun hadn't expected that his rare act of kindness would be perceived as meddling.
This made him very uncomfortable, deeply uncomfortable. When had he ever been snubbed like this?
"Whether or not you asked, I've already gotten you out of that situation. At the very least, you ought to observe basic courtesy, right? Oh right, if you're sitting here and not an applicant then there must be someone you are waiting for? If you don't want to say thank you, then I suppose someone else might be willing to 'pick up the tab' for that thank you," Hu Kun's lips curled slightly.
