Smack.
Tang Wan opened her eyes in confusion.
An unfamiliar ceiling.
She slowly extended her hand and discovered it was still the delicate, tender fingers of a young lady, a clear sign of genteel upbringing.
Placing her hand on her face, she felt her swollen cheeks and laughed with relief.
"So it was just a dream."
Muttering to herself, Tang Wan closed her eyes and turned over, then suddenly opened her eyes again.
Something wasn't right!
Sitting up quickly, Tang Wan looked around in a hurry. Then she realized, she was still in that carriage, with Zhou Li and Zhu Qianyun by her side, tilting their heads, deep in slumber.
Was it really a dream?!
Tang Wan touched her face in stunned silence. After a moment of thought, she started to consider whether the person dreaming would give themselves a slap to wake up.
Then she understood.
"Zhou Li, stop pretending to sleep!"
