The confined space made movement awkward for the attackers, but their strength more than compensated for the lack of grace. One swing of the mace connected with the train wall behind Val, shattering the side and leaving a gaping hole in its wake, causing runes to flutter.
Erik stepped forward, his silvery blade humming ominously as he infused Ether into it. He blocked an incoming axe with a fluid twist, the force of the blow causing sparks to fly as the weapon clanged against the reinforced sword. If one were to look closer, they would see the cracks forming in the axe while the point of contact had a small slice in it, a little more force, and he would've sliced the axe. With a flick of his wrist, Erik redirected the axe, slamming it into the attacker's leg, causing a gaping wound and shattering bone.
The man screamed as Erik's blade followed through and sliced cleanly through his torso. Blood sprayed the walls, mingling with the already chaotic scene.
