As Madara continued reading, his expression darkened.
"After the Sage of the Six Paths sealed his mother, she used the last of her power to create something—something unnatural. But there was one problem… she couldn't give it flesh. She couldn't create a real body.
Instead, she formed it purely out of Yang energy, made of nothing but chakra. And since chakra never truly disappears, this being was practically immortal.
Over the years, it had tried many times to revive the goddess and bring destruction to the world. But to do that, it needed the Sage's eyes—the Rinnegan.
To awaken the Rinnegan, there was one necessary condition. The Mangekyō Sharingan.
However, the Mangekyō Sharingan had a flaw. Overuse led to blindness. The only way to stop this was to transplant the eyes of a blood relative—a brother, sister, father, mother, or even a grandparent. By doing this, the user would awaken the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, which never goes blind.
But even that wasn't enough.
To truly revive the goddess, something more was required.
The purest bloodlines of the Senju and Uchiha clans.
And if one added the blood of the Kavya clan, it would lead to something beyond human—something that could achieve a true Sage Body, a true immortal body, just like the ancient beings of legend.
Once awakened, and with enough chakra—Bijū chakra, to be exact—the seal of the Kavya clan would break.
And then… the world would be destroyed.
At that moment, she would return. She would take back her chakra, and all would be lost.
The final words of the message burned into Madara's mind.
"To those who read this in the future—be careful. Do not fall into the hands of this being. Do not let his plan succeed. Remember this warning."
Madara clenched his fists. Madara's eyes narrowed as he finished reading. He gripped the scroll tightly, his thoughts racing.
"A black being… manipulating the wars…" he muttered under his breath.
This scroll was written in the first year of the Warring Era—about a thousand years ago.
But who was this black figure?
Who was the Goddess?
And the Sage of the Six Paths… did he really exist?
Madara's eyes narrowed as he read. He didn't think the scroll was fake.
Who would write something like this for no reason? And why would it be in such a damaged state?
The writing style matched the ancient scripts he had seen in the Uchiha Clan's library. It was real. The words weren't modern, and the structure was exactly like those from a forgotten time.
This wasn't a story. It was history.
As for Arata, he knew he couldn't just tell Madara everything outright. That would be stupid. Madara would never believe him if he just said it directly.
No. He had to make him believe.
That's why Arata had planned all of this from the start. He prepared the scroll long ago and buried it in the ground to make it look ancient. Now, everything was going exactly as planned.
Arata looked at Madara seriously.
"Uncle Madara, when I saw this scroll, I knew right away that you and Uncle Izuna might be in danger," Arata said.
Madara raised an eyebrow. "Me & Izuna ? In danger? Why?"
His expression changed to one of surprise. This was completely new knowledge—something he had never heard before.
"Uncle Madara, look at it carefully," Arata continued. "It says there was once a Goddess who tried to destroy the world. She was sealed away by the Sage of the Six Paths. But before she was sealed, she left behind a son—a black creature.
"Since he was made entirely of chakra, he can't die. He is immortal. Which means…"
Arata paused for effect.
"…he is still alive today."
Madara's face darkened.
"You have already awakened your Mangekyō Sharingan. And Uncle Izuna has awakened his too."
Arata's voice grew more serious.
"That black being needs a Rinnegan to bring back the Goddess. And to awaken the Rinnegan, he needs someone with the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan."
Madara clenched his fists.
"He will either kill you or Izuna—whoever is easier to manipulate. Because when one of you dies, the other will gain the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan by taking their eyes."
Madara stayed silent, processing this information.
"But that's not all," Arata said, lowering his voice. "Once you awaken the Eternal Mangekyō, the next step is to get pure Senju DNA and combine it with your body. If that happens… there's a chance you might awaken the Rinnegan.
"And when that happens—the black being will come for you."
Madara narrowed his eyes.
"That thing can possess anyone," Arata added. "Even you."
Madara's expression darkened further.
"If he possesses you, he will break the seal and release the Goddess. And when that happens… everyone will die."
Arata finished his speech and looked at Madara.
Madara stared back at him. His sharp eyes were reading every single movement, every tiny detail on Arata's face.
But the way Arata spoke… the way he connected the logic… it made sense.
Hah. This was working.
Arata held back a smirk.
"After all, my perfect mind games and Lord Tenji's legendary talk no jutsu are working."
Heh.
Everything was going exactly as planned.
