He smirked.
"That kind of tech? Even the Hidden Sky Village couldn't make that. So yeah, it's risky. But it's a good kind of risky. If it works, we can change lives in the ninja world—especially in Konoha."
Then he cleared his throat and spoke up, chuckling a bit as he scratched the back of his ear.
"Oh, I almost forgot—what's your name? And where do you live?"
The boy replied shyly, "My name's Yaki Orichi, but you can call me Yakimine. I'm ten years old. I'm the only one left from… well, I live in the Konoha Orphanage."
Arata stared at him for a few seconds. Yakimine looked nervous, like he was wondering if he'd said something wrong.
Arata smiled.
"Well then, from now on, you'll stay with me. Starting tomorrow, I'll sort out a new identity for you. That way, you can join the Ninja Academy and start learning properly."
He reached into his storage and pulled out a red pill.
"Here, take this," he said, handing it to Yakimine.
Arata looked at the pill with pride and thought to himself.
"i made it using fuinjutsu—kind of like the Akimichi Clan's chakra pills, but different. I made this one myself. It even has a tiny drop of Kurama's chakra inside it—very, very small, like just one drop. I took it back when Kurama was still under Black Zetsu's control."
Arata Looked Toward Yakimine , voice calm but confident.
"With the help of this pill, it boosts your chakra, makes it denser, and makes your body tougher. It works kind of like the Akimichi's secret pill… but this one doesn't hurt you."
He pointed at the pill in Yakimine's hand.
"Even if someone has no powers or training, this pill can push them up to chunin level instantly. It's not magic—your chakra and body just get stronger really fast. But yeah, there's a limit. It only works on civilians right now. It won't help genin, chunin, jonin, or Kage-level shinobi. But for you… it's perfect."
Yakimine stared at the pill, eyes wide.
Arata grinned again.
"This is just the start, Yakimine. Stick with me, and you'll go far."
After a while, Yakimine slowly popped another red pill into his mouth.
"Ah… what is this?" he mumbled as the pill melted on his tongue.
He suddenly felt warmth flowing through his chakra coils—not pain, but a strange, heavy heat. It wasn't hurting, but it was definitely uncomfortable.
Then it hit him.
His chakra… it was growing. Not just growing—expanding like a balloon filled with fire. His body started to respond too. His arms bulked up, his muscles tensed, and strength started to build from deep inside.
Yakimine looked down at his hands in shock.
"What the…?"
He clenched his fist and instinctively slammed it into the ground.
Boom!
The ground cracked and a small crater formed beneath him.
He stared at the hole, then back at his hands—then turned to look at Arata, eyes wide and filled with awe.
"T-Thank you, Arata-sama," Yakimine said with pure emotion, dropping to his knees. "You've given me power… this is like a miracle. I promise you—I'll give you my full loyalty and trust."
Arata smirked a little, rubbing the back of his head.
"Oi, oi… don't kneel like that, it's weird," he said, half-embarrassed. "I didn't give you a miracle. I gave you a chance."
He crossed his arms.
"Now listen. You've got chakra and power now, yeah… but no control. If you try to fight like this, you'll punch your own head off."
Yakimine blinked.
"W-What?"
"You heard me," Arata said casually. "Strength without control is useless. First, we'll go back to my clan. I'll have someone help you settle in. Tomorrow, you'll start training . From the basics. Chakra control, sealing theory, the whole boring stuff."
Yakimine nodded seriously and quickly followed Arata like a little duckling.
Soon, they reached the gates of the Senju Compound. Arata paused at the entrance, scanning the area.
He thought to himself, "Hmm… if Mom's still visiting the Uzumaki Compound to meet my cousin, then it's safe to go in for now."
Standing near the gate was a guard dressed in Senju colors.
"Oy, Eben! Come here!" Arata called out.
Eben Senju, the gate guard, looked up in surprise and hurried over.
"Young Lord! What—oh?" He paused, noticing the boy beside Arata. "And… who's this?"
"Doesn't matter," Arata said coolly. "Just arrange a room for him."
"R-Right! Sorry, Young Lord, I didn't mean to question you!" Eben quickly bowed.
Arata gave him a lazy wave.
"Yeah, yeah. Jand ust don't ask him too much."
Eben straightened up, already knowing how Arata was. He had inherited his father's Peacefull Nature but just like his mother his mood swings too—so questioning him wasn't worth the risk.
"Understood. Yakimine- San right? Come with me," said Eben politely.
Yakimine looked at Arata, who nodded.
"Go on. He'll show you your room."
"Yes, Arata-sama!" Yakimine said with a big smile and ran after Eben.
Arata watched them go and sighed.
"This kid's like a lost puppy… but he's got potential. Let's see what he can really do."
"I was thinking the same thing," Arata Paused as he heard Kurama's voice inside his head.
Kurama grunted.
"And Of course I'm right. When am I ever wrong?"
Arata raised an eyebrow. "Okay, okay… go on then."
"I mean, look at that kid—Yaki Mine, or maybe his real name is Yaki Orochi or whatever. I bet he's gonna be Orochimaru's father one day. Not now, but in the future, definitely."
Arata's eyes widened a little. "You think so too?"
"Think? I know." Kurama snorted. "Have you seen what Orochimaru did in the future? That guy created a seal that lets you bring the dead back without dying yourself! Remember the Fourth Great Ninja War? He revived the First to Fourth Hokage like it was nothing. And he didn't even need a human sacrifice but Zetsu —he tricked the freaking Shinigami!"
"Yeah… that was wild," Arata muttered, remembering the scene.
"And don't forget the immortality stuff. The guy made clones of himself, swapped souls like changing clothes, and learned every jutsu he could get his hands on. Even in Boruto, he's still doing shady stuff—trying to dismantle everything like the old Tsuchikage jutsu."
Kurama growled softly, but there was a spark of excitement in his voice.
"So, if this boy—Yaki—has even half of Orochimaru's talent, you just made a damn good deal, Arata."
Arata scratched his head, thinking. "He did feel different… like there's something inside him just waiting to explode."
"Exactly." Kurama nodded in his mind. "And you know what else? I'm still mad at that snake brat."
"Huh? Why?"
"Because I saw it—one of your memories. That moment when Orochimaru popped into Naruto's mind and called me 'the beast.'"
Kurama huffed loudly, like an angry cat.
"How dare he?! 'The beast,' huh? I should've bitten his head off right then!"
Arata laughed. "You're acting like a real tsundere right now."
"Shut up! I'm not! I just… I don't like being insulted by some pale noodle with snake eyes."
Arata smirked. "Sure, sure. Keep telling yourself that."
Kurama grumbled but didn't argue.
