After a while, Arata felt normal again. He sat down for a bit and took out a yellow pill from his system.

"Down the hatch,"[His code will be explained in future] he muttered as he popped it into his mouth. His chakra refilled instantly, and he let out a long sigh of relief.

"Okay, time to drop the barrier. Let's get to the academy."

He stood up, cracked his fingers, and started forming hand signs. Then he slammed his hand into the ground. The barrier around him vanished with a small shockwave. It had a strong sound and chakra-blocking field—pretty overkill, but it worked.

The system dropped the time barrier too, so now everything was back to normal outside.

Arata started walking toward the Senju compound. He had to pass through it to reach the academy—it was the only path. There was still some time before classes started, so he wasn't in a rush.

But then… he froze.

He sensed something. Something terrifying.

"Uh-oh…" he whispered.

"System," the voice in his head chimed in, "I have 36 strategies to escape this situation."

"Any of them useful?" Arata asked quickly.

"Analyzing… None of them will work. Rest in pieces."

"WHAT?!" Arata screamed in his mind.

"I mean, uh… rest in peace," the system corrected, trying to sound chill.

"Still not better!" Arata snapped.

The system just let out a hum and went silent.

Arata was sweating now. He could feel the chakra clearly.

He knew who it was.

He turned to run, but before he could move, a sharp, angry voice stopped him cold.

"Where do you think you're going?"

Arata stood completely still. His body froze. His soul almost left his body.

"Ah—Kaccha—it's not what it looks like!" Arata said nervously. "I just, uh, missed you! That's all! Yeah, y...you came back early from the Uzumaki compound !"

He slowly turned around.

Standing there with a scary glare was none other than Uzumaki Mito—his mom.

She had one hand on her hip and the other ready to throw a frying pan or something worse. Her eyes could probably kill a man.

"Really now? Is it already time for the academy to be over?" she asked, not buying his story one bit.

Arata tried his best to smile. "Hehe… uh… maybe?"

Mito narrowed her eyes.

"Your father and I sent you to the academy so you could socialize. You know—make friends your age. And before you even try to say it, no—Hiruzen doesn't count."

"But—"

"He's your cousin, Arata! That doesn't count!" she snapped. "And even if he is your friend, he's your only one. Look at Hiruzen! That boy has tons of friends."

Arata looked away, defeated.

"And you… you're the next head of the Senju clan and you've got no one. No friends except Hiruzen."

Arata scratched his head awkwardly.

Mito just sighed and looked at the sky like she was asking the gods for patience. … well, the gods didn't give her any.

She snapped.

The air around her changed. It got hot—really hot. Invisible chakra chains slithered around her like snakes ready to strike. That usual noble, elegant vibe she had? Gone. Totally gone. In front of Arata, she didn't act like some high-class lady anymore.

She looked like a final boss.

A glowing chakra chain shot from her hand—fast!

"K-Kachan, wait! Don't!" Arata yelled, already turning to run. "Please! We're outside! Like, just inside the Senju compound! Don't do this here!"

But the moment the nearby clan members saw that look on Mito's face—they ran. No hesitation.

They knew.

They knew what was coming.

Some even whispered a little prayer for Arata before vanishing like trained ninjas. No one wanted to get caught in that crossfire.

"Mom, c'mon! People might see! I'm the future clan head, right? I gotta have some dignity!" Arata tried reasoning, begging, even pulling random psychology terms out of thin air.

Didn't work.

Mito's cold glare said it all.

"You skipped class again. What do you think people will say about your father when they hear about this? Huh?!" she growled.

Arata opened his mouth to argue—but another chakra chain appeared.

"You brat! You even tried to remove my chain? Are you dumb?! This chain is reinforced with my special Sealing jutsu!"

Arata froze.

A cold chill ran down his back.

His mom's Fuinjutsu wasn't normal. It was something else. She had once taken a ton of Nature chakra mixed with his dad's Sage energy… then used that to craft a special ink… and then mixed that into her sealing technique… and then blended that into her chakra chains.

In short, he was screwed.

Badly.

Still, Arata tried to dodge, to duck, to run. Anything. But Mito's aura was so scary that his legs almost gave out.

"How did Father survive living with her this long?" he wondered, eyes wide with fear.

And then a new terror struck his heart.

"Wait… what if Naomi becomes like this too after marriage? Is this my future? Am I gonna get whipped every time I skip dinner?!"

Just as he got lost in that nightmare thought, his mom's chakra chain wrapped around his body and yanked him still.

"Don't bother running. These chains are enhanced with Senjutsu-level Fuinjutsu. You're not getting free unless I say so," she said calmly, like it was no big deal.

Another chain formed into the shape of a hand.

SLISH!

"OW! Kachan! Wait, that's my butt! Be gentle! It's turning red!"

SLISH!

"Aghh! Okay okay! I'm sorry! I swear I won't skip class again! Please!"

Arata was nearly in tears.

He didn't expect her to actually do this outside… Sure, no one was around anymore, but it was still daylight. Still technically public!

Just then, a new voice cut in.

"Mito-San … what exactly are you doing to Arata...?"

Arata looked up like a drowning man seeing a lifeboat.

Uncle Tobirama had arrived.

"UNCLE! SAVE ME!" Arata shouted. "I didn't do anything! Kachan's out here slapping my butt like she's training a bull! You gotta save me!!"

Tobirama blinked, clearly caught off guard. Mito looked over, perfectly calm, still holding the chain.

Arata didn't care anymore. Rank, dignity, pride—all gone.

All he wanted… was to run.

When Tobirama heard that, he froze.

Mito slowly turned to look at him, her eyes cold and sharp like blades.

"Tobirama… what do you think I'm doing?" she asked in a low, dangerous voice.

Tobirama met her eyes—and instantly regretted it. A chill ran down his spine, and not the normal kind. This one cut deep.

He laughed awkwardly. "Haha… You know, it's, uh… really cold today, right? I should probably head home. Yeah. Weather's changing, right? Gotta grab an extra coat..."

He started backing away.

"Sh....Shizuka's waiting for me, you know? I promised I'd get her a few things… Haha… okay then, gotta go, bye!"

And just like that, he turned around and bolted.

"UNCLE!!" Arata screamed. "TRAITOR!!"

But Tobirama didn't look back. He was already muttering under his breath.

"Arata… forgive me. The world will remember your sacrifice…"

He ran so fast as he forgot to use the Body Flicker. His fear was stronger than any killer instinct he'd ever faced—not even the Nine Tails made him this scared.

In that moment, he knew one thing:

Mito's fury was worse than death.

Meanwhile, back with Arata…

SPLAT!

"OW!! Kachan, that's my butt again!!" he cried out.

He watched in pure betrayal as his uncle ran off like a coward. "You're a Water Style master! You shouldn't be feeling cold! You have resistance, damn it!!"

WHAP!

"AGHH! Kachan, please! I'm sorry!" Arata wailed.

Then Mito's voice came again, calm but terrifying.

"Boy… are you going to skip class again?"

Arata's soul almost left his body. He looked into his mother's eyes—those terrifying, glowing eyes—and stuttered,

"K-Kachan… I swear, I won't skip anymore. I'll go to class. Right now. Just put me down, please. And stop hitting me… My butt's already red!"

He was completely helpless now. His chakra was sealed. Even though he could break her chakra chain if he wanted, deep down… he didn't dare.

He didn't know why, but he was seriously scared of her.

Back in his old life, he was a psychiatrist. He dealt with fear, he studied phobias.

And now?

Now he had one.

"Mother-phobia."

And it was very real.
