"Can you manage?" Ning Xiaofei asked worriedly.
Grasping the handrail to stand up, Mu Tianye lifted his arm to hold onto her arm, while the other hand gripped the railing tightly.
"Let's go."
Staring hard at the path beneath his feet, he descended the steps with difficulty, and with her help, painstakingly made his way down the boardwalk back to flat ground. Once on flat ground, he immediately sat on the steps, gasping for air.
Taking a bottle of water from his backpack, Ning Xiaofei quickly twisted it open and brought it to his lips, letting him take a couple of sips. She then anxiously touched his forehead. When her hand came away, it was wet with his cold sweat.
Her heart tightened, "Husband, how are you feeling?"
"I'm fine!" Mu Tianye lifted his face, which already looked much better than before. "I'm just a bit... acrophobic."
No wonder he had strongly objected to walking on the boardwalk.
