Jiangli couldn't be bothered with Qing Yue and was even less inclined to deal with him as he led Xia Xin through the grand doors of Jiaoyang Temple and into its confines.
He didn't care about what happened behind them.
"Old ancestor, Xia Xin, you're back!"
Just as Jiangli and Xia Xin entered Jiaoyang Temple,
Fu'er ran over, her face lit up with joy: "I sensed the old ancestor's presence just now, and sure enough, I was right!"
As Jiangli walked further inside, he asked, "How's everything been in the temple? Nothing untoward in the past couple of days, right?"
Fu'er, bubbling with delight, followed closely alongside Jiangli to a side hall, "Nothing serious. It's just that there've been a continuous stream of pilgrims these past two days, with many coming to fulfill their vows, and some even lining up for fortune-telling sessions – all pretty straightforward stuff, and I've dealt with all I could."
Hearing this, Xia Xin asked curiously, "Fulfilling their vows?"
