The monster they were facing had dropped a full 20 levels—a massive reduction. And the difference was immediate.
Its attack speed had slowed noticeably. The magic damage wasn't nearly as overwhelming as before. Even its massive lava sword—previously an unstoppable force—was now something the Elder Wing could hold his ground against.
This fight had suddenly become way more manageable.
But still…
Why stop at just 20?
"Vallrick! Just lower it even more while you're at it!" Broken shouted at the mysterious assassin, who was still running along the cave walls, dodging waves of lava crashing in all directions.
"Sorry, Broken… that's the max I can do! That cost me 40 of my own levels."
"Forty levels?!"
Broken's head snapped toward Vallrick, utterly stunned.
The Pride Champion just scratched the back of his head with a sheepish grin—but before he could say anything else, another lava wave nearly hit him, and he panicked, sprinting away again.
