3 Days Later…
Finally, the morning arrived when it was time to leave for Aethel Academy.
Standing at the entrance of Ophelia's mansion, my bags packed and Vykekard secured at my side, saying goodbye proved harder than expected.
When I say everyone I knew was here, I meant everyone.
"Chief!" Mel and Fletra cried in unison.
They rushed forward, eyes wet and arms outstretched.
"Sob…Are you really leaving?" Mel's voice was half a sob.
"Don't call me that… I'm not the Chief anymore."
WAHH!
Upon hearing my words, the two burst into fresh tears, clinging to me harder.
"Everyone will miss you," Fletra sniffled. "Make sure you always come back."
WHOOSH!
"Get off me."
I pushed them away, trying to keep my composure.
"I'll be back, eventually."
Robert then approached, his expression solemn.
