"Who could do this?" Max had wrapped bandages on all her wounds and stitched her arms. Nora was now leaning on the recliner with her eyes closed but he knew she was not sleeping.
Alric was sitting on the other side with his gaze so dark and killing intent overflowing from him.
"Many!" Nora whispered with a chuckle. "The list is never ending. It could be my lost uncle, my sister's lackeys, Benard's men or his father's!" she pointed at Alric with her chin.

Alric stiffened at the last name but shook his head.
"He would not do it." he did not specify but Nora knew he was talking about his father. "Mother told him that you have saved Alex. and he is keeping a watch on your business dealings. He told Ava that you are a good seedling. As long as you let go of your emotions, you could be trained to be much better." Nora sneered. She did not want to be trained to lose her emotions.
