Brandon felt his face warm up. Anyone should expect Killian to say the most unexpected things whenever he wants to say them.
But the way he said it always affected Brandon, even if he did not want to. It affected him in a way where he wanted to curl up and die. Maybe just curl up and swing his legs back-and-forth, like a little girl.
"Hey,"
Megan tapped his shoulder, quite firmly, like she was slapping them. Brandon moved away with the frown. "What?"
"Do you know how long I've been calling you? Where has your attention been?"
Brandon shrugged. "No where, I was thinking about work."
"Oh?" Megan leaned back. "You were thinking about work at lunch?"
That's when it registered to Brandon about where he was sitting. He was sitting in the cafeteria, having lunch of leftover spaghetti with Megan.
