Wednesday dropped by pretty quickly. This time, Brandon already had plans with Megan and Kylian had been informed about them. He had promised to stay away.
For some reason, Brandon thought that it was because he had a shit ton of work to do, and since he had to get it one way or the other, he decided to stay away.
"Well, that's one way to use your sick leaves." Megan opened the cork of the champagne bottle she had bought. "Honestly, it's good that you're putting them to use. The first year, I didn't use them at all, and I regretted it, even though I got money for it. It is not worth working when you're sick."
He had given the same story to Megan that he had given to the HR manager.
At first, Brandon wanted to tell her the truth, he wanted someone to know the truth, but then he had decided against that. Instead of telling 2 people to entirely different things, he decided to just stick with one. It was going to be easier.
