Boom!
The Great Toad Sage, now enormous in size, fell into the horde of serpent sages, immediately entangled and bitten by the snakes, rendering him immobile.
At the same time, a small white snake darted out from the horde, slipping into the Great Toad Sage's clothes.
Struggling against the snakes, the Great Toad Sage's face darkened as he spoke, "I clearly blocked your sight. How did you still manage to hit me?"
His body had been enlarged to the size of a mountain by Shishou. Although this enormous size increased his attack power, it also reduced his speed, making it difficult for him to move. This was why he got caught by the serpents, even though he anticipated their attack but couldn't react in time.
Shishou pointed to the Tenseigan on his forehead and smiled, "This eye has the x-ray vision of the Byakugan. You can't block it."
Seeing the Tenseigan on Shishou's forehead, the Great Toad Sage fell silent.
Shishou's appearance reminded him of the Rabbit Goddess Kaguya Otsutsuki and the Sage of Six Paths Hagoromo Otsutsuki.
A black rod of Yin-Yang Release extended from Shishou's palm, which he broke off and threw, piercing the Great Toad Sage and disrupting his chakra.
Soon, the small white snake emerged from the Great Toad Sage's clothes, transforming into Raiko, who approached Shishou.
Raiko held up a green talisman, kneeling respectfully before Shishou, "Master, this is the Sage's Talisman from the Great Toad Sage. It has special mystical properties."
Hearing Raiko's words, the Great Toad Sage's face turned grim.
He had been gathering strength to break free from the serpent's paralyzing venom, intending to use the Sage's Talisman to restore his spent senjutsu chakra. However, Raiko had gotten to it first, leaving him with little hope.
"Well done!" Shishou took the Sage's Talisman from Raiko's hands, nodding in satisfaction.
The Sage's Talisman was filled with senjutsu chakra and possessed the ability to revive a dying person, making it an incredibly rare treasure in the ninja world.
Upon hearing Shishou's praise, Raiko respectfully retreated behind him.
After securing the Sage's Talisman, Shishou looked toward Mount Myoboku and noticed the many large toads lying defeated by Raiko.
Raiko's ability to deal with creatures possessing senjutsu chakra was indeed impressive.
Approaching the paralyzed Great Toad Sage, Shishou placed his hand on the sage's head, using the Human Path's ability to read his memories.
"Wait..." The Great Toad Sage began to speak, but Shishou's Kamui Rinnegan activated instantly, twisting the sage's head until it was crushed.
Watching the Great Toad Sage die at Shishou's hands, Raiko turned pale, her respect for Shishou growing deeper.
Raiko realized that while Shishou showed compassion for humans, he was utterly ruthless towards non-human entities like them.
With the Great Toad Sage dead, Shishou released his swarm of devouring insects, setting them to consume the sage's flesh.
Then, Shishou sent another swarm of insects to devour the defeated toads of Mount Myoboku and stationed clones at the entrance to the mountain to clear it out and claim it as his territory.
As the insects devoured the flesh, Shishou used the Great Toad Sage's memories to locate the sage's quarters, searching for senjutsu scrolls and other valuable items.
Mount Myoboku, a thousand-year-old senjutsu sanctuary, held treasures that rivaled those of the Senju and Uchiha clans, making it a worthy place to loot.
Inside the Great Toad Sage's quarters, Shishou found a secret passage by pressing a spot beneath the sage's chair, revealing a hidden chamber.
Entering the chamber, Shishou nodded in satisfaction.
The chamber was filled with numerous senjutsu and ninjutsu scrolls, as well as treasures like the Grasscutter Sword and various gold and silver items.
Mount Myoboku indeed had a vast wealth.
Taking a senjutsu training scroll, Shishou examined it closely.
Frowning as he read, Shishou discovered that mastering Mount Myoboku's senjutsu required symbiotic techniques, meaning he would need to have toads sitting on his shoulders, like Jiraiya did.
"I want to learn Mount Myoboku's senjutsu, but I don't want to rely on toads. Can you modify it?" Shishou casually tossed the scroll to Raiko and continued inspecting other scrolls.
He was particularly interested in the prophetic abilities of the Great Toad Sage after activating the Sage Mode, and wanted to see if he could learn it himself.
According to the sage's memories, mastering the prophetic abilities required learning Mount Myoboku's senjutsu.
"Yes," Raiko replied respectfully, catching the scroll.
After examining another scroll from the pile, Shishou left the hidden chamber with Raiko, having cleared Mount Myoboku of its toads.
Separating the insects that had consumed the Great Toad Sage from those that had devoured the other toads, Shishou surveyed the surroundings and instructed Raiko, "From now on, you will oversee both Mount Myoboku and Orochimaru's base."
"You will need to raise senjutsu animals, teach them to extract chakra and senjutsu energy, and regularly collect these energies."
"Additionally, do not neglect the cloning of Madara Uchiha."
Since he planned to take Tsunade and others to the senjutsu-rich initial sphere space for training, Shishou intended to turn the Three Great Senjutsu Sanctuaries into his own senjutsu beast breeding grounds.
This would not only provide him with battle-ready summons but also a steady supply of chakra and energy for cultivating the God Tree, achieving multiple benefits at once.
Hearing that Mount Myoboku was now under her charge, Raiko was overjoyed and respectfully vowed, "I will do my utmost to assist you, Master."
Shishou nodded, dismissing his clones guarding the entrance to Mount Myoboku and disappearing from the spot.
After Shishou left, Raiko looked around at Mount Myoboku's environment, smiling happily.
Mount Myoboku was far better than Ryuchi Cave...
Seeing the numerous toad statues around, Raiko decided to start remodeling the place.
Meanwhile...
After Shishou's clone at the entrance dissipated, a small green toad emerged from underground, stealthily hopping out of Mount Myoboku.
"I will return," the toad vowed, glancing back at Mount Myoboku with determination.
Just as Shishou had used Kamui to twist the Great Toad Sage's head, the sage had separated his soul from his body, fleeing underground and possessing the small toad.
Swish!
A figure appeared behind the toad, casting a shadow over the Great Toad Sage, who felt a chill run down his spine.
Shishou grabbed the Great Toad Sage and chuckled, "I knew you wouldn't die so easily."
