"Buzz!"
The brilliant azure glow of chakra shimmered in Minato and Kushina's eyes, stirring both with profound emotions. Kushina's surprise arose from the overwhelming chakra surging from Naruto; its power felt immense, yet oddly comforting, as if there was a natural bond between them embedded within its energy.
For Minato, however, the feeling was different. His shock stemmed from witnessing the technique Naruto had just unleashed. He had inherited so much of his mother's fiery spirit, but now Naruto was revealing his father's legacy—ninjutsu honed and refined. And somehow, it appeared that Naruto's version of the move had surpassed his own.
"Boom! Boom!"
Dozens of colossal, jade-colored Rasengans, like descending meteors, hammered relentlessly against the giant's massive form. The chakra radiance cloaked it entirely, sparking powerful winds and dazzling light so intense it was nearly impossible to keep their eyes open.
"Did that finish it off?" Kushina wondered aloud, her red ponytail whipping in the powerful gusts generated by Naruto's move. Even a creature as massive as this giant should not have emerged unscathed from such devastating force.
Yet, as the chakra light faded, Minato's pupils narrowed. The form of the giant slowly reappeared before them, visibly scarred but still radiating formidable energy. The crackling, electric-like aura that had once surged around it had dissipated, but it wasn't enough.
Naruto dropped from the air, landing near his parents, his gaze locked ahead with unwavering intensity. "Not even close," he muttered, frustration evident in his voice.
Realizing the giant was still capable of fighting, Naruto grit his teeth and swiftly formed hand seals, summoning two shadow clones to his side.
"This is my last shot."
The three of them exchanged determined glances before Naruto stretched out his hand. His clones placed their hands over his, channeling chakra into a single, powerful Rasengan that emanated a faint, rhythmic hum.
"Mastered that move already?" Minato murmured, a slight tremor in his voice. A wry smile crept onto his face as he felt an uncontainable pride within him.
The Rasengan began to take shape, its core spinning wildly with intense chakra. In Naruto's hand, the wind chakra swirled, forming razor-sharp wind blades that danced like knives around the sphere, pulsating with fearsome energy.
"Senjutsu: Wind Release RasenShuriken!" Naruto shouted, launching the spinning shuriken straight toward the giant.
"Roar!" The giant roared, seemingly enraged. It raised its massive fist, dark purple light pulsing within its eyes and radiating down its arm. The two forces collided, and for a moment, there was a tense stalemate. But Naruto's RasenShuriken proved superior, tearing through the giant's arm, reducing it to shreds.
"Bang!"
The shuriken detonated, forming a massive, spinning sphere of light that enveloped the giant, its core teeming with countless wind blades that slashed through everything in their path.
"Finally!" Naruto exhaled, relief softening his tense expression. The dark markings in the corners of his eyes began to recede, his pupils returning to their usual color.
"Are you sure?"
Minato's quiet question broke Naruto's moment of triumph. He looked up to see a dark purple light gathering once more atop the ruined building.
The light surged downward in a beam, colliding with the remnants of the RasenShuriken. Exhausted, the remnants of Naruto's technique couldn't withstand the beam's raw energy. The shattered pieces of the giant's form coalesced within the beam, reshaping themselves until the giant stood whole once more, as if reborn.
"It can…recover!?" Naruto gasped, stunned. He had poured so much energy into defeating it, only to see it regenerate right before his eyes.
"It appears the giant can tap into the power of the dragon veins to restore itself," Minato observed, stepping forward to stand alongside Naruto.
Naruto's face reddened in frustration. He hadn't anticipated this turn of events at all. "What do we do now, then? Just destroying it seems pointless."
Minato chuckled softly, patting Naruto on the shoulder. "It's not enough to defeat it physically. We need to seal away the dragon vein's power before we can destroy it for good."
Naruto's eyes lit up, but a touch of uncertainty lingered. "But...I don't know how to use Fuinjutsu. I wish my parents were here to help!"
Hearing this, Minato turned to Naruto with a small smile, his gaze steady. "Are your parents' sealing techniques that powerful?"
"Absolutely! My parents sealed the dragon vein years ago, and no one has been able to undo it since!" Naruto replied proudly, the admiration in his voice evident. His confidence in his parents was unshakeable.
"Interesting," Minato remarked, a hint of curiosity in his tone. "If the seal is so unbreakable, then how is it that this giant is drawing on the dragon vein's power?"
Naruto's face twisted in frustration. "The seal wasn't broken—it was forcibly absorbed by the Tan Mukade!"
Minato's eyes narrowed slightly as he pondered the name. " Mukade..." He repeated softly, remembering stories Naruto had shared about events in the future, piecing together fragments of a picture. This Mukade must be the same figure who had emerged three years earlier, the one who had assassinated Queen Rōran.
As Minato's thoughts raced, the giant's eyes reignited with a terrifying glow, and in the blink of an eye, it had fully regenerated, its massive form looming before them once more.
"Damn it!" Naruto muttered, glaring at the revived monster. He gritted his teeth, already forming seals to ready himself for another attack.
But before he could proceed, Minato's hand gently restrained him. "Enough. Leave the rest to me," he said, his voice calm yet resolute.
"But—"
Naruto's protest was cut off as Kushina stepped forward, standing at Minato's side with a fierce determination in her eyes. The two shared a silent glance, and Minato nodded, understanding her resolve.
"You've done your part, Naruto," Kushina assured him, her voice firm but gentle. "Now, let us handle this."
With a flash of yellow light, Minato was gone, reappearing almost instantly at the giant's side. Though the giant's movements were swift, Minato's speed was unparalleled.
"Hold steady."
In an instant, Minato was back beside Kushina, who had already begun forming intricate seals, her fingers moving with practiced precision.
"Give us a moment," Minato instructed Naruto, casting a quick glance over his shoulder.
"Huh?" Naruto blinked in confusion.
Before he could fully process, Minato and Kushina's hands moved in unison, executing their plan.
In the next instant, Minato, Kushina, and the towering giant vanished from Naruto's sight altogether.
Miles away, within a hidden chamber in Rōran, a man cloaked in black robes was deep in concentration, hands forming seals in a steady rhythm. Suddenly, he paused, his face contorting in frustration as he realized he had lost his connection with the giant.
"They've moved it...far from Rōran," he murmured, his expression darkening. "So, you used the Flying Thunder God …"
