"Are you serious? Are you going to leave us after the ten years that you have spent here?" I was asked by Kayelin as I held her hands.
"I told you that I do not have a choice in the matter. If I choose to stay, the entire world will be at risk because of my unwillingness to fulfill my destiny as the next god of my race. My prevenance will only attract much unwanted strife and pain in many forms for anyone of this world."
"I understand, and you can use my private ship to finish your journey". She told me as she snapped her fingers.
"Yes, ma'am what do you need me to do for you?" Drax asked in a submissive tone as he kneeled in front of Kayelin.
"The thing that I want you to do is prepare two decant sized travel packs for a journey that will most likely last for a few days." She said to Drax before she shifted her attention towards me and William.
"Thank you, and tell my main medical assistant that he has my blessing to run the clinic as he sees fit." I told her as I started to walk towards the back door of the house.
"I will do that" she said to me as I saw Drax leaving the house with a medium-sized wallet on his waist.
"So, what are you planning to tell our daughter on this day when she gets home from school?" I asked her as I turned around.
"She will be told that you are going to be gone for a few years to discover a cure for the rare disease of Delvore, which has no known cure. I will tell her truth whenever she gets older. That will probably be for the best." She said in response to my question.
"That is good to hear. I will be going to the ship and getting ready to launch since we should leave this world as soon as we can." I said to her as I left the house and headed for her vessel. "Also, William, I will be trying to contact her and see if she knows the galactic coordinates for the place where we will need to go to begin my ascension to godhood."
"William whatever you do, please try to keep him safe on the journey to the end of his mortal life." She said to him as I walked into the ship.
After I entered the ship, I chose to find a personal room to get some rest and see if the current Terran deity would be able to contact me.
As I closed my eyes, I knew that I was in the world where I usually heard her voice.
The deity was nowhere to be seen. Since I was clearly in this world alone for the first time, I chose to walk through the forest so that I could have a good look around.
I saw that the area around me was the base of a mountain. The only way to get into the inside of the mountain was a cave entrance that had water dripping from the ceiling.
Then, as I made my way to the back section of the cave and I saw a massive circular gateway that had a round terminal to its right.
"So, I am guessing that you have taken my advice and are leaving this world with William to embrace your destiny is fulfilled." I heard the voice of my deity say from the entrance of the cave.
I spun, and I was finally able to see the appearance of my deity clearly. She was tall and skinny with long, curly, dark red hair. I also noticed that she was entirely blind. Her clothes were just a simple white robe that seemed to flow from her back and ended about three inches behind her.
"Yes, William and I are currently getting ready for the journey to the planet or realm where all the gods stay. Speaking of that, the main reason why I came here was to ask you where exactly the location of the gods is located?" I asked her as I moved the fingers of my right hand along the interior of the ring.
"We are in The Velley of Dead Ships. If you want to make it here, you will have to navigate through it without relying on the scanners and sensors of your ship. Only by relying on the natural talent of whoever is piloting the ship will be able to reach this world."
"Okay I will remember that, and thank you for giving me the information that I need".
After I said that I saw that everything vanished from my sight, and as I woke up I saw that William was shaking my body.
"So, where you able to get the required location to where we will have to go to complete the final part of your journey as a mortal?" William asked me as soon as I rose from the bed.
"Yes, I was able to find out where we need to go, but I do not think that you are going to like it." I said to William as I walked out of the room and made my way to the copilot seat of the ship.
"Where is it that we have to go?" William asked me as he followed behind me until he made it to the main pilot chair of the ship.
"We must go into The Valley of Dead Ships." I told William as I looked at the ship navigation system, which was on a touch screen that I had in my right hand.
"Are you insane?" he asked me.
"Just think about it, William, that would be the perfect way to hide the world of the gods from the mortals that have not proven their worth." I told him as I walked away from the front area of the ship.
I then heard someone walk into the front area of the ship, and I saw that it was Drax pushing a large black box to the side room that was meant for storage.
"There you go master Danny. I wish you the best of luck on your journey." He told me as he bowed to me and left the ship.
"All right, William, we should get moving. The sooner that we get to the planet of the gods, the sooner that I can be relieved that my new family will be protected because of my sacrifice.
William powered up both engines of the ship and set a course for The Valley of Dead Ships.
As soon as the ship had started to move, I felt something inside of me was pulling me towards the planet that we were heading to.
"You should also turn off all the sensors and screen while we navigate our way through The Valley of Dead Ships. I was told that only those who were chosen and worthy of the divine power could find their way to the planet with their ship in one piece." I said to him as the ship began to leave hyperspace.
Then I saw that the area that we were going to have to get across had a variety of different ships that were all torn into pieces of spare metal and scattered in front of me. The ships were of different racial designs, and they were of different types of vessels that varied from simple cargo ships to massive battle cruisers.
After William had carefully guided us through the field of ships, I saw that the ship was being pulled into the planet, and the more that William tried to resist the pull of the world the stronger that it seemed to get.
The world was a dark world with barely any light that made it through the atmosphere.
I saw that when the ship landed, I was in the dark and barren forest as if I was in a dream yet again.
"All right William let's get going. I know what we need to do to be able to begin the process of ascension. Please make sure that you bring the Terran medallion since that will be most likely needed to complete what we are after."
Then I saw William put the medallion on a metal necklace that he placed around his neck.
I walked through the woods and into the cave, and as soon as I approached the circular gate, I placed the Terran statue that I had found in The Ancient Osdronian Dynasty ruins into the circular platform beside the gate that I had seen the last time that I was here.
After I did that, the portal began to be filled with a dark blue energy that covered the entire interior of the gate.
As I saw the energy fill the gate, I rushed in without a second thought or a care about what might happen to me.
The portal lost its energy when William stepped out of it.
On the other side of the portal, I saw that I was no longer in the dark forest that I had left. The area in front of me was a singular massive tree that looked to be covering at least half of a mile in diameter. There were also open white cocoons that were being held up by the branches of the massive tree.
"Come forth and embrace your destiny as the next deity of our race". I heard the current Terran deity said to me after the portal lost its charge.
I walked up to the branch that was the closest to me, and as soon as I stepped onto it, she spoke to me again.
"Now the final step of your divine evolution is the trial of the mind. In this you will have to face all your major regrets in life. If you can overcome this, you will become the next deity of our race."
After she finished talking to me, the white cocoon started to become whole by swallowing all the light until I was in a full cocoon where no new light was able to break through. Then, the cocoon began to fill up with a liquid that caused my body to become paralyzed as it contacted my flesh. When I was completely submerged in the liquid, I started to pass out.
Then I noticed that I was now in an area that was entirely black and white. The first place where I found myself was at the train station that I had used to make it to my Klitron.
Around me, I saw other Terrans that only looked like shadows of smoke without any visible features as I glanced at them. Every Terran was the same except for two people who had actual forms and faces. They were both of my parents.
"Hello Danny, look at you. You have become so tall and powerful. When I look at you, it makes me proud to be your mother." my mom said as she hugged me.
"Son, you have become such an amazing Terran. I have been keeping up with your exploits through the reports that I was able to get because of the connections that I have developed over the years." He told me as he shook my right hand after I stopped hugging my mother.
"Yes, but you two have paid the ultimate price because of my failure to stop Nova from being turned into a turned vampire." I said as I kneeled out of rage as I pounded the wooden floor because of the guilt that I was feeling over that decision.
"Son, it does not matter to either of us how we ended up because we raised to be a caring and understanding man. So, we both know that you did everything within your power to save your first love like you are doing now to save the Vordonian that are married to now". My father spoke these words to me as he kneeled on his knees to look at me.
After I rose to my feet, I felt like a bit of what was holding me here leave me, and I noticed that the station vanished from my sight.
The second area was the house that Nova and I had bought while working under the house of Lupus. I saw Nova standing in the kitchen of our home. She was wearing her battle armor just like when we were meeting before that fateful mission.
"Hello dear, how was your day of work?" she asked me as she turned around and began to scream in a high pitch as she walked up to me.
I fell onto my back at the sound of her sketching noises that were leaving her mouth.
Then she leaped at me as if she was no longer human.
"What are you doing to me, Nova!" I exclaimed as I tried to get her off me without harming her.
"Come on, Danny, do not tell me that you have already forgotten what you did to me". She said to me as she continued to try and attack me. "Then if you can remember, then allow for me to remind you about your failings."
After she spoke, the scenery started to shift, and as it did, the only thing that was stable was myself and Nova.
Then, as the area began to turn solid, I saw that I was in the bed chambers of the pure-blooded vampire that had turned Nova into what she was before dying.
I saw that Nova was starting to make her way to the bed and started to remove her clothes one piece at a time in a suggestive style, starting with her upper body.
As soon as Nova had stripped herself of the clothes, she laid on the bed completely naked as if she was ready for whoever was going to be mounting her very soon.
A few moments passed before I saw the male vampire that ruined my life walk into the room. He was surrounded by all the members of his harem, and I saw him mount Nova.
As I watched, he removed his clothes and turned Nova onto her back before he began to slowly put his dick into her ass. He then bit her on the top of her right shoulder. As soon as she was bitten, she suddenly became tranced to him as if please him was the only option that she had.
While he was thrashing her, I heard her moan out of pleasure as she he suddenly turned her head to look at me.
"Oh yes please master prove to me that you are the only man that I will ever need in my life." She told him as they started to turn themselves over and his
The motion in the room stopped entirely, and Nova walked off the bed towards me with an evil look of anger at me.
"Do you not see that I did not need you to try and save me. I was happy without you. Whenever you came into this room, you began what tore apart what brought me joy.
"I thought that you would understand that as my soul mate, I would do whatever I could to protect you." I told her in confidence as I looked at her.
She ignored me and walked back to the bed and went back into her previous sexual position, and she continued to moan as he bit her left tit with his mouth.
At the sight of him defiling my former wife I became filled with rage and an urge to go punch him right where he stood, but my body was not able to move even an inch despite how intense my drive to kill him was.
Then I noticed that she put on the same underwear that I had seen when I arrived. All the turned vampires set themselves around him as if he were the king.
I noticed that I had finally entered the room, and everything else happened the same as last time until Nova was the only one left, and the mercenary group showed up.
Nova stopped the time once again and made her way to me.
"Do you understand how much you wasted my new life with a master that was much better in the bed than you ever were."
After she spoke, I fell to the floor at the thought of what she had just said. As I thought over the details that she had shown me, I had a realization. There would have been no way for me to save her because she was already fully a turned vampire when I arrived.
The area around me vanished, and I could only see that I was in a blank room where all I could see was the deity that I was to replace.
"So now that you have come over all the things that were binding to the mortal plain of existence, you may now evolve into the next Terran deity.
Now the final step for you is to find out what it was that drove you to embrace your destiny".
As I thought about what it was that drives me to embrace the destiny that I had been given? When I began to think there was only one thing that was powerful enough of a motivation for me to embrace this new life. It was vengeance.
Vengeance on the warriors who bullied my whole family when I was a kid. Vengeance on the people who would ever harm Valria and Kayelin in any way. Finally, I will swear an eternal vow of vengeance on the vampires for defiling my soul mate in such a vial way.
"I Danny of The Terran Collective will now become Danny the Terran god of Vengeance!"
