After a moment of staring at each other in confusion, Miku, Ichika, and the others realized they might have misunderstood each other.
"Wait, Miku, were you upset these past few days because you had a breakup or something?" Yotsuba asked, unable to hold back any longer.
"Breakup? What are you talking about?" Miku's face turned a bright shade of red at the mention of romance. Despite her extraordinary experiences and new powers, she still had a pure, girlish heart.
"Oh, so we misunderstood?" Even the usually oblivious Ichika caught on, giving Yotsuba a playful glare.
"More importantly, Miku, what's been going on with you these past few days? We're your closest sisters; you can tell us anything. If you're in trouble, we want to help!" Ichika urged.
"And what's all this about 'that place' and 'dungeons'?" Nino chimed in, sensing something strange. She slapped her hand on the sturdy table, causing everyone to snap out of their thoughts.
"Well..." Miku hesitated after hearing Nino's direct question.
"Miku, we're quintuplets, remember? We're closer than anyone else. You don't have to hide anything from us. What's going on with you? We're really worried," Ichika said gently, taking Miku's hand to comfort her.
"Yeah, no matter what's going on, we're here for you!" Yotsuba agreed enthusiastically.
Though Nino and Itsuki didn't say anything, their serious expressions spoke volumes.
"Alright, I'll tell you, but you must promise not to tell anyone else. I'm worried you might get into danger," Miku said, finally making up her mind. In truth, she hadn't planned on keeping secrets from her sisters for long. As long as they continued living together, she knew she couldn't deceive them forever.
Besides, Miku wanted them to understand that the world wasn't as simple as it seemed.
"Go on, tell us!" Ichika and the others urged eagerly. They could sense something big was coming.
And they weren't wrong. After Miku explained about the reincarnation space and some of her experiences, their expressions went from shock to doubt and concern.
"You don't believe me?" Miku pouted, noticing their disbelief. She felt a little upset.
"Well, it's just that…" Ichika began, struggling to find the right words.
"The things you're talking about are just so…" Yotsuba added, trailing off.
"Are you feeling alright, Miku? Maybe you're imagining things?" Nino asked, reaching out to feel Miku's forehead.
"Fine, if you don't believe me, I'll show you what I can do!" Miku said, a mischievous grin spreading across her face.
"What are you going to do?" Ichika and the others shivered slightly at the change in Miku's demeanor.
Without another word, Miku glanced over at Nino with a sharp look. Nino's body stiffened, her eyes losing their usual luster.
It all happened so fast that Ichika, Yotsuba, and Itsuki didn't notice anything strange at first.
"Nino, stand up and bark like a dog," Miku commanded.
"Miku, what are you saying?" Itsuki frowned, confused by Miku's sudden order.
But to everyone's shock, Nino stood up obediently and started barking like a dog.
"Nino, what's going on?" Ichika, Yotsuba, and Itsuki asked in unison, clearly startled.
Nino ignored them, continuing to bark as if she were a puppy.
"Miku, what is this?" Ichika finally asked, realizing something was very wrong.
"Okay, stop now," Miku said, her voice calm.
As soon as Miku spoke, Nino stopped barking immediately and sat back down.
"Release," Miku murmured, ending her mental control over Nino.
As the spell lifted, Nino blinked and looked around, confused about why she was standing. She noticed her sisters' bewildered expressions and asked, "Why are you all looking at me like that?"
"Nino, just now…" Yotsuba began, hesitant to explain.
"What do you mean, 'just now'? What happened?" Nino asked, frowning in frustration.
"Nino, did you really forget what happened just now?" Itsuki inquired, still concerned.
"Forget what? What are you all talking about?" Nino demanded, becoming more annoyed.
"You were barking like a dog. No matter what we said, you wouldn't stop," Ichika finally blurted out.
"Ha, what are you talking about? Why would I bark like a dog?" Nino rolled her eyes at Ichika, clearly not believing a word of it.
