It wasn't like before. These ones were stronger, faster, and more prepared. But even then, they weren't ready for the way the special unit worked.
The formation teams rotated in perfect sync. As soon as one section of the barrier started to flicker, the backup squad was already there, pouring energy into the core stones buried under the ground.
Light would flare for a second, and the shield would recover—just enough to catch another charging beast off guard.
Earth and wind cultivators continued manipulating the battlefield. Cracks opened under charging squads.
Sudden gusts knocked flying types out of the sky. Dust and fog swirled across the ground, making it hard for the enemy to see more than a few meters ahead.
And every few seconds, a beast would drop. Not from a big flashy blow—but from a clean strike they never saw coming. That was the Shadow members.
