Kassandra's POV
As soon as Arida and I entered the vacant tent, I signed to her to take her seat. She looks at me and seems to be worried.
"You don't have to worry. Just answer my questions and tell me what happened. How come Silver puts you under his spell? Why did you meet with him, huh?" I interrogated.
She looks down and starts fidgeting with her fingers. My best friend does that when she can't lie to me. She takes a deep sigh.
"I didn't meet up with him on purpose. You warned me about his power; that's why I kept my distance as much as possible until we accidentally met each other in the market three weeks ago," Arida murmurs. I frowned.
"I went to the market to buy food supplies for our pantry. I also want to buy king crabs for my husband. Enrique told me he's craving them. I accidentally met Silver along the way," she says.
I know my best friend isn't lying. I just want to know the story of why she loses her control.
