"What? Nanxi, what are you saying?" Elder Master Jin's ears perked up as he looked at Jin Nanxi, his old face trembling with excitement. "What did you say Niannian is carrying?"
Jin Nanxi, unaware that she had accidentally let something slip, looked at the elder, confused. "Niannian is pregnant with a baby, what else would it be if not a baby— a puppy?"
She thought the elder's question was very bewildering.
The elder felt like smacking Jin Nanxi on the head with a cane. "You said Niannian is carrying twins, is that true? Who told you that?"
"Ah, Dad, how did you know?" Jin Nanxi looked at the elder in surprise, feeling that Elder Master Jin had an incredibly wide reach and somehow nothing could escape his control.
Elder Master Jin was now anxious to know the answer, and just when Jin Nanxi suddenly acted foolishly, he couldn't hold back and finally brought a cane down on Jin Nanxi's back.
"Don't you play dumb with me, didn't you tell me this?"
