Sergei had not seen Yevgeny for a while; after the battle at the mines, he started busying himself working for the Duke.
Originally, he wanted to form a partnership with Sergei, but unfortunately, the Duke had designated Tretov, making these estranged acquaintances cooperate to maintain firm control.
"Long time no see!" Yevgeny stood at the entrance welcoming him.
"Having heard that uncle has been quite busy lately, I'd dare not disturb you; I am very delighted to be invited over today.
I thought uncle had forgotten about me, but it turns out I've been on your mind," Sergei said politely.
Yevgeny noticed a significant change in Sergei; he became more fluent in officialese, probably under Maxim's tutelage.
Recently, Yevgeny himself wasn't busy; the busiest man was Tretov, who was out biting people on behalf of the Duke.
