"How could I be?" Durin smiled. "If I were upset, I wouldn't have slipped an extra fruit into her little pouch."
Old Pang froze for a moment, then laughed.
From Durin's perspective, the aged Candle Dragon, whose dragon horns jutted out like ancient tree branches, looked at him with joy in his gaze. He clasped his hands behind his back and said, "The meeting is on the second floor. Follow me. A few others might be arriving late. They have official positions, unlike your Old Man Lin who's got a bit more free time."
"Alright." With that, Durin stuffed his hands into his pockets and followed Old Pang up the stairs, passing a rockery and small pond. When they reached a door, Old Pang pushed it open and called out, "Dear brothers, here he is. If you have any questions, direct them at him."
