This key was obtained by An Su a year ago, during his first visit to Heaven.
After An Su styled Sir Merlin Andre's hair with characteristics of the Holy Light as the Heavenly Rotation Keeper, Heaven's Gate acknowledged An Su's craftsmanship, and thus gave him this temporary key, a commendation for his excellent work.
The scepter of Heaven is the authority of the master, while the key of Heaven is a symbol of the guest.
But merely possessing such a discarded key, An Su was still insufficient to unlock the authority to Heaven, nor was he enough to turn the tables; the situation remained passive.
However, apart from the key, he had a second ace up his sleeve, which was his real trump card.
