Although the bleeding had stopped and that strange monster had been destroyed, Yatagarasu Kensumi still showed no sign of awakening.
Roger carried him on his shoulder, and although there was no particular smell in the passage, occasionally something could be seen squirming and flashing past the walls.
Roger had checked Yatagarasu Kensumi's physical condition. Other than his arm, there were no significant injuries; however, he had tried but was unable to wake Kensumi.
Without an obvious source of light, Roger could still clearly see the surroundings in the downward passage.
After walking down the winding passage for a distance, Roger soon stopped in his tracks at a fork that split in two directions.
One path became gentler, while the other seemed to continue downward.
"Uma." Roger called out.
Something separated from Roger's shadow, then rapidly expanded and transformed into the appearance of Uma.
Uma stopped in front of the downward fork in the path she had taken.
