As Lilian drove home after a fun day together, Emily sat in the back seat, her cheeks flushed with excitement, chattering non-stop about how much fun she had, while Jessica sat in the passenger seat, smiling at Emily's enthusiasm. The day had been long but undeniably fun.
Lilian and Jessica had stopped by her school to pick her up when they realized it was almost closing hour, and all three of them had hung out together.
"I can't believe you won that big stuffed bear at the arcade, Jessy! You were like a superhero!" Emily said, hugging the plush toy tightly.
Jessica chuckled. "Superhero? I think I just got lucky."
"No way! You aimed so perfectly!" Emily insisted, her eyes wide with admiration.
"She's got a point," Lilian said with a grin. "You were on fire today, Jessica."
Before Jessica could respond, her phone rang with a call from Delilah, and she raised a brow as she received the call.
