"Are you nervous?" Alex asked Sabrina, who was fumbling with the strap of her handbag, breaking the silence in the gynecologist's office as they waited for him to bring the results of the scan which Sabrina had taken.
Sabrina glanced at him, her lips pressing together before she shrugged. "Not really."
Alex gave her a knowing look. "Liar."
She exhaled heavily, rolling her eyes. "Fine. Maybe a little. I just—" She hesitated. "I'm scared," she admitted.
"You'll be fine," Alex said confidently. "No matter what it is, we'll deal with it."
Before she could respond, the door swung open, and the doctor walked in, holding a file. His expression was neutral but not alarming, which gave Sabrina a sliver of hope.
"Alright, Ms. Quinn," the doctor began, taking a seat across from her. "We've reviewed your scan result. You do have fibroids, but the good news is that they're small and not in a position that requires surgery."
