"YOU BASTARD!" A voice like an erupting volcano thundered across the battlefield. "I'LL TURN OFF YOUR FAUCET!"

Behind the crumbling demon ranks, the skeleton throne of the abyss trembled. A monstrous figure rose from it—a lava demon of gargantuan stature. His molten skin flowed like living magma, his body over twenty meters tall, thick and rippling with ancient demonic muscle. With a deafening roar, he slammed his burning palm against the throne, cracking it into fragments.

Two immense lava wings—fifty meters across—unfurled like curtains of liquid fire. With a single flap, he launched into the sky like a crimson meteor, a comet of rage streaking toward the black dragon in a display of explosive fury.

I raised my head, my slitted red pupils locking onto the blazing figure approaching. His outline gleamed in my eyes.

A Balor Balrog.

Not just any Balor—but one who had surpassed the threshold of mere legend. A second-stage Legendary Balor Fire Demon.

Even among the abyss, such creatures were dreaded. At the same level of power, a Balor could duel an elder dragon—sometimes win, sometimes lose, but always survive long enough to earn respect. And yet, despite witnessing my form—far removed from an ordinary black dragon—this one still had the arrogance to charge.

But arrogance wasn't the only thing that filled his heart.

The lava demon, known among his kind as Yaro, felt exhilaration.

Joy.

Exhilarating, uncontainable joy.

War bored him. The eternal stalemates, the waiting, the endless marches of lesser demons—it gnawed at his mind. He wanted blood. He wanted combat. He wanted challenge.

And now, that challenge stood before him. A black dragon. A true monster. Perhaps a mutated aberration of draconic lineage, or perhaps an ancient horror who had sealed his divine strength to pass through into the realm.

Either way, Yaro couldn't care less.

All he cared about was the thrill of battle.

I saw it in his eyes.

And I laughed.

A grin split across my snout, revealing rows of gleaming white fangs. I opened my maw and let out a thunderous chuckle that echoed across the skies like war drums.

"That's unfortunate," I said, my voice vibrating with bloodlust. "Because I, too, crave battle."

A single beat of my wings launched me forward, my massive frame vanishing into a streak of shadow and lightning. Dozens of acceleration spells and magic circuits ignited across my scales, weaving a web of power that made the air scream. Runes burned across my horns and claws. Magic and spiritual energy poured out, stacking two additional layers of buffs onto my massive form.

Then, I moved.

With a violent crack, I launched into the air—an obsidian comet streaking across the sky, trailing arcs of violet lightning in my wake. The very clouds parted before me. The earth below trembled as I broke the sound barrier hundreds of times, I was traveling at insane speeds, that I turned into a black streak that seemed to burn through the air.

In the skies above the battlefield, the black dragon and the crimson demon collided.

A flash of light engulfed the world—blinding, all-consuming. Then came the sound—a concussive blast so deafening it shattered the silence of death itself.

BOOOOOOOOM!

The sky erupted in a mushroom cloud of seething, chaotic energy. Lightning crackled. Fire exploded outward. The shockwave, circular and merciless, spread for miles. It ripped through the battlefield like a god's wrath made manifest. Soldiers—ghost and demon alike—were flung into the air, torn apart by invisible blades of pressure. Whole platoons were flattened, disintegrated in the blink of an eye.

And in the center of it all, the two titans clashed.

My talons, sharp enough to pierce plate and soul alike, met his iron fists, forged in the heart of the Abyss. Wings lashed out like guillotines. My tail, thick as a cathedral pillar, collided with his lava tail in an earth-shaking impact.

We plummeted from the skies, entwined in a celestial deathlock like warring titans from a forgotten age. Our descent was cataclysmic—a living meteor forged of obsidian and flame, crashing into the heart of the battlefield with divine fury. The impact shattered the land. A colossal crater bloomed beneath us, its edges vaporized, as stone liquefied and steel screamed. Soil, shattered bone, and boiling blood erupted skyward in a geyser of devastation—raining down like the crimson petals of a funeral for gods.

Each clash of a claw against a burning fist sent shockwaves rippling for miles. Mountains trembled in the distance. Rivers reversed course. Time itself seemed to stutter.

With every titanic blow exchanged, the air was ripped apart, birthing momentary vacuums that sucked the breath from lungs and dragged creatures into oblivion. The very fabric of space convulsed at our point of impact, as if reality itself could no longer bear the force of our collision. The skies above warped. The ground below screamed. Mortals died simply from witnessing the shock—turned to ash by the divine collision of two apocalypse-born creatures.

It was no longer a battlefield—it was a massacre under titanic feet.

At the rear of the ghost tribe's lines, the Green Ghost King stared, momentarily frozen.

"
What the hell is going on?" he muttered.

Wasn't the black dragon supposed to remain hidden while the demons of Black Smoke City remained unaware of its presence, then strike at the perfect moment to assassinate several legendary demons and deal a crippling blow to Black Smoke City?

Instead, the dragon had soared into the sky like a blazing god, announced his presence with chaos and wrath, and now grappled with one of the most terrifying demons on the continent in full view of both armies.

Unlike the puzzled Green Ghost King, the Red Ghost King—towering over two meters tall with bulging muscles—watched the brutal clash between the black dragon and the lava demon with barely restrained excitement.

He wished he could join the fray.

Unlike the Green Ghost Clan, whose abilities centered on extreme regeneration and plant/vine manipulation, the Red Ghost Clan's talents lay in their ultra-high-density bodies and terrifying physical strength and defence.

Even though the Red Ghost King stood just over two meters tall, once he unleashed his full strength, his sheer brute force was enough to shatter a mountain several hundred feet high. His ultra-high-density body also granted remarkable resistance to physical attacks and formidable defenses.

Additionally, the Red Ghost Clan's skin had high resistance to energy attacks.

Their only weakness was their soul. Their naturally aggressive and reckless personalities made them far more susceptible to illusions and soul-based attacks compared to other ghosts.

Nearby, three other ghost kings stood together—

The thin Purple Demon Ghost King,

The massive White Ghost King, a hundred meters tall, his pale flesh resembling that of a giant. And the Frost Ghost King, three meters tall, exuding an aura of extreme cold.

The three ghost kings gathered with the Red Ghost King and the Green Ghost King, quickly discussing how to handle this unexpected turn of events.

Without hesitation, Green Ghost King Medici disclosed all available information about the black dragon.

The other four ghost kings' eyes lit up at once.

This was a golden opportunity.

And so, the five ghost kings quickly reached a consensus.

They would take advantage of this unexpected turn of events to bite a chunk out of Black Smoke City's demon forces and further weaken their strength.

As the five ghost kings unleashed their auras onto the battlefield, the legendary demons of Black Smoke City could no longer sit still and charged forward one after another.

There were dozens of legendary demons present in Black Smoke City, but most were merely first-level legends. Only four had reached the second level. This was why Black Smoke City was at a disadvantage when it came to high-end combat power.

The five ghost kings, however, were all at the peak of the second level. While each possessed a specialized ability, their combined strength was terrifying.

Three second-level legendary demons stepped onto the battlefield, facing off against the five ghost kings. One of them, an Abyssal Three-Headed Dog, was about to ask why they were attacking—

But before he could even finish his question, a hundred-meter-long ice spike shot up from the ground, aimed directly at him.

With no choice but to dodge awkwardly, the three-headed dog of the abyss swallowed the words that had yet to leave his mouth.

The battle erupted in an instant.

The five ghost kings coordinated seamlessly, pummeling the three demon commanders into a miserable state. In desperation, the demon commanders sent an urgent distress signal to the Balor Fire Demon, still locked in a hand-to-hand brawl with the black dragon.

These three demon leaders had extraordinary origins, but their strength still paled in comparison to the five ghost kings.

Finally, the leader of the Abyssal Three-Headed Dog, who had been taking the brunt of the attacks, could endure no more.

A pair of blood-red armor pieces appeared, swiftly enveloping his body.

The moment the blood-red armor appeared, the aura of the leader of the three-headed dog of the abyss rose straight up, and streams of blood-colored energy overflowed from the armor and wrapped around the three-headed dog, forming a pair of energy armor that enveloped the three-headed dog's body.

The incoming thick vines, green light spears, and various frost attacks were all blocked by this layer of energy armor.

The leader of the three-headed dog of the abyss is using legendary equipment!

To advance a creature to the legendary level, you need to understand the legendary characteristics, such as energy transformation and body transformation. The advancement of extraordinary equipment to the legendary level also has the same effect.

The birth of legendary characteristics, the transformation of materials, and the birth of spirituality can be regarded as the standard for legendary equipment.

Therefore, the number of legendary equipment pieces is much lower than that of legendary experts. Most first-level legendary experts do not even have a piece of legendary equipment.

However, the three-headed dog demon commanders are second-level legendary powerhouses, so it is normal for them to have a piece of legendary equipment.

As the aura of the three-headed dog commander of the abyss surged, the other two demon commanders, the four-armed sword demon and the horned demon, also used legendary equipment.

The sword demon commanded a knife, which was attached to its arm, emitting a dazzling and chilling sharpness.

The horned demon was accompanied by a gauntlet, which possessed terrifying strength and powerful defensive capabilities.

After the three demon commanders used legendary equipment, they barely withstood the joint attack of the ghost kings, but it seemed that they could not last long. The five ghost kings were too strong in coordination.

The lava Balor, which had been engaged in crazy hand-to-hand combat with the black dragon, roared in annoyance.

Yaro looked at the black dragon and showed a pitiful and cruel smile. "Black dragon, I also want to have a good fight with you, but those losers can't hold on, so there's nothing we can do."

A pair of red metal claws appeared on Yaro's palms, causing its aura to surge.

Not far away, I watched indifferently as the aura of the Balor Demon soared.

The wounds from the fight on the dragon's body recovered in a blink. Even though the powerful abyss energy of Balor remained in the wounds, hindering the recovery of the injuries, they still healed at a super speed under the effect of the third-level [Super Speed Recovery] and [Radiant Force Field] So needles to say abyss energy had little effect in my body recovery ability.

"Black dragon, prepare to die."

At this moment, Yaro's palms had turned into a pair of huge crimson claws, and around the claws, there was a terrifying and heart-stopping aura.

Silently, Yaro approached me with a cruel look on his face.

In response, I just looked at him calmly. As soon as I thought about it, dozens of water dragons, more than ten meters tall, gathered around me and then roared and charged at the Balor Fire Demon.

Yaro sneered and waved a claw, and the huge bloody claw shredded more than a dozen water dragons. With another claw, the remaining water dragons also collapsed.

The sixth-tier water dragon spell at the truth level is blessed by my tyrannical and massive magic power. The power of each water dragon can completely threaten strong individuals at the pseudo-legendary level.

Dozens of water dragons surged out wildly, and even first-level legends with average strength had to avoid them in panic. Otherwise, their lives would be completely endangered.

However, in front of Balor, who is ranked second in strength and uses legendary equipment, these water dragons were like mere water splashes. Even if they bombarded him, they could not injure him.

Dozens of water dragons shattered and collapsed, leaving a radius of more than ten kilometers covered in a large amount of water vapor.

Black Dragon's Spell-like Ability—[Cloud And Mist]

Silently, a large amount of thick fog rose up from the mist, obscuring Yaro's sight.

He snorted coldly, and his powerful legendary perception spread out, but what made his expression slightly change was that in the mist, his perception ability was severely weakened, and he could only detect a few kilometers ahead.

In the outside world, with the help of massive magic power, the water mist expanded rapidly, covering hundreds of kilometers almost instantly.

"Idiot, I'm too lazy to play with you."

I was suspended outside the mist, and my eyes saw through the mist when I saw the Balor Fire Demon running around in the thick fog, causing my mouth to widen.

The black dragon's spell-like ability cloud and mist spell not only blocked physical sight but also seriously interfered with perception and mental power. In this situation, living beings entering the cloud and mist could easily get lost in it.

Of course, this Balor Fire Demon was very powerful, and my cloud and mist technique couldn't make him get lost in it. At most, it could trap him for some time.

But this was enough.

I turned my head to look at the battlefield led by the ghost king and the demons in the distance and smiled cruelly.

Instant Teleportation.

Click, click, click—

A large amount of deep cold ice condensed on the body of the three-headed dog leader of the abyss, trying to freeze him. The three-headed dog roared, and the huge energy armor formed by the legendary armor equipment on his body shook slightly. The ice was shattered, but before the three-headed dog could take a breath, countless vines broke through the ground, covering the huge three-headed dog like a hill.

Rich black abyss energy surged out from the gaps in the vines. The three-headed dog leader broke open the vine cage and escaped from it, breathing heavily with a tired expression.

From the beginning of the battle until now, most of its energy had been consumed.

Although legendary equipment is powerful, the speed at which it consumes energy is also proportionally increased.

"Damn Yaro, haven't you solved that black dragon yet?!" The three-headed dog was a little anxious. Balor Fire Demon Yaro was the strongest among the four demon commanders. When Yaro was around, although the four demon commanders were at a slight disadvantage in the battle against the five ghost kings, they were still able to hold their ground overall. Now, without Yaro, the three demon commanders would have to face five ghost kings.

It once again avoided the attacks of vines and ice and barely managed to pay attention to the situation on the battlefield.

The battlefield where Yaro and the black dragon were fighting was obscured by thick mist, making it difficult to see the situation clearly.

The other two demon leaders—the four-armed sword demon—were entangled by the Red Ghost King alone. Even though the four-armed sword demon used legendary sword weapons, they could only leave deep marks on the Red Ghost King but could not cut him into two pieces. The high-density and tyrannical body of the Red Ghost clan was clearly revealed at this moment.

The Horned Demon Commander was being suppressed and beaten by the White Ghost King and the Purple Demon Ghost King.

The White Ghost King, who was a hundred meters tall and looked like a fat white giant, chased the Horned Demon Commander like a fly. However, the agile Horned Demon Commander always managed to dodge him, which made the White Ghost King extremely annoyed.

However, at the critical moment, the Purple Ghost King on the side would launch a spiritual attack, controlling the Horned Demon Commander and causing his evasive movements to freeze slightly. Then, he would be hit hard by the White Ghost King.

But with the help of the legendary gauntlet armor equipment, the Horned Demon Commander's defensive capabilities had been greatly improved. Even though the White Ghost King was terrifyingly powerful—far more powerful than the Red Ghost King—the Horned Demon Commander only vomited a few mouthfuls of blood and looked embarrassed every time he was attacked. It didn't matter in the short term.

But when the three-headed dog saw this, its heart sank.

The use of legendary equipment consumed a lot of energy, and every time it was hit and resisted attacks, the consumption increased exponentially. If the Horned Demon Commander continued like this, he would not be able to last long.

Just when the three-headed dog was anxious, from the corner of its third head's eye, it suddenly noticed a huge black dragon claw suddenly protruding from the space not far from the four-armed sword demon. It suddenly exclaimed.
