"You don't drink?" Old General Jih's eyes suddenly revealed disappointment, as if Jiang Li had done something regrettable.
"I get drunk." Jiang Li said.
"Then don't drink, just watch us drink." Situ Jiuyue said, and then he lifted a jar of wine from the ground.
It was Jiang Li who drank the fruit dew with a tiny porcelain cup, while everyone else used large bowls to receive the wine from the jar. But, in the end, all had to raise their drinks together.
"May the New Year bring fortune, and may everything go as you wish!" Kong Liu said in his coarse and gruff voice. He was a simple man, and these few words were already the most florid ones he could muster. He had no more to say.
Jiang Li raised her cup and clinked it against everyone else's bowls, making a crisp sound, and some of the liquor splashed out, releasing its fresh fragrance.
