The next day, Yao Qing woke up to bright daylight.
She lay in bed, basking in the sensation of sunlight streaming through the gaps in the curtains onto her face. It took her a few seconds to realize that she was in someone's hospital room, and this was someone's bed.
Lying there so comfortably seemed somewhat inappropriate.
She tossed off the covers and sat up, only to see him with a laptop on his knees and what appeared to be a cup of coffee at his side.
For a moment, she felt as if their roles had reversed: she was the patient and he, the caretaker.
It seemed that he was in the middle of a video conference. Yao Qing frowned slightly and stepped forward to take away the coffee from his hand.
Yu Yanshen had just reached out to lift the coffee, only to grab at thin air.
He raised an eyebrow without a sound.
