States of the Continent of Valoria
Mikhland Empire
A notorious state in southeastern Valoria, with a total population of 80 million, including 1-1.3 million Earthling slaves, over 2 million Earthling servants, and at least 10 million non-humans confined to reservation territories. Encompassing an area exceeding 13 million km²—five times the size of Kazakhstan—Mikhland is considered the most powerful nation in Terre. It is infamous for its ideology of human supremacy, its extensive teleportation network, its magically mechanized military, and its inhumane system of slavery.
Autonomous Region of the Noir People
An autonomous region within Mikhland inhabited by the Noir, descendants of black people who migrated from Kalmar Island eight centuries ago. Unlike other regions in Mikhland, it is not a slave state and retains its distinct culture, language, and traditions, which intrigue Mikhlanders.
Black Claw Barbarian Chiefdom (Felagris)
A confederation of various matriarchal tribes in northern Mikhland. Though officially under Mikhland's control, the region's sparse population and decentralized governance allow the tribes to maintain de facto rule.
Confederation of the Seven Lands
A confederation of seven territories formed from the westernmost parts of seven former manors. Despite its vast size—equivalent to the combined area of Burma and Sicily—and its abundance of timber, minerals, and maritime advantages, it remains severely underdeveloped, with only 65,000 Mikhlanders residing in its 11 towns and single port city. The land has remained unclaimed for the past 15 years.
Lyanora
A matriarchal state west of Mikhland. Once a prosperous nation, it suffered devastating invasions by the Mikhland noble Lax 110 and 115 years ago, losing 80% of its territory, experiencing a drastic population decline, and seeing the destruction of much of its literary heritage. The country remains weakened to this day. It is said that Lax died still lamenting his unrequited love for a Lyanoran noblewoman who remained steadfast in her marriage to another woman.
Therasirus Empire
A human-centric empire located north of Mikhland. More centralized and prosperous than Mikhland but less technologically advanced and less racially discriminatory. A long-running royal family drama has captivated its citizens for the past two decades.
Masino
A vassal of Therasirus situated on its northernmost border. The territory's royal government was executed long ago, and it has since become a penal colony for Therasirus' criminals. Rampant crime and social instability have left its citizens in misery, and its economy has been virtually nonexistent for decades.
City-State of Courtney
An autonomous city within the Therasirus Empire known for organized prostitution and drug trafficking. The only place in the empire where homosexuality, bestiality, pedophilia, necrophilia, and recreational drug use are legally permitted.
Island of Luxury
An island in Therasirus' waters where royalty, nobles, and the wealthy host lavish annual festivities.
Onarim
An autonomous inland protectorate northwest of Therasirus, dominated by dwarves. It exports tools to Therasirus and receives full defense and security funding from the empire, making it the wealthiest vassal of Therasirus.
Dragonland of Serpentine
An ethnostate ruled by the House of Thraxal, renowned for its tribal monarchy, oppressive policies against non-dragon citizens, and pastoral economy. Legends speak of its warriors having devoured a million humans from a destroyed nation half a millennium ago. Along with Mikhland and Therasirus, it forms the geopolitical core of Valoria.
Langnisteria
A principality of Serpentine, bordering both Mikhland and Serpentine. Ruled by the dragon noblewoman Calothosk, it stands out for its moderate politics, democratic leanings, and multicultural society.
Dakoma
A timber-rich region in the extreme southwest of Serpentine. The dragon overlords enslave the human majority to harvest wood, turning the area into a tightly controlled colony. Immigration and emigration are strictly prohibited, leaving outsiders uncertain about conditions within.
El'mr
An elven monarchy situated between Mikhland, Therasirus, and Serpentine. It maintains neutrality as a buffer state and upholds traditional elven values centered on nature.
Ifeho Phil
A vassal of El'mr, known for its highly eco-urbanized high elf society. Though in decline for centuries, it remains aesthetically sophisticated and relatively prosperous.
Enyo Meona
A vassal of El'mr, home to wood elves who continue a hunter-gatherer lifestyle, giving the region the appearance of an untamed wilderness.
Garan
A small kingdom of green orcs located between Mikhland and Serpentine. Due to its technological underdevelopment and tribal chiefdom system, it serves merely as a buffer zone between the two powerful nations.
Galarc
A maritime nation between Mikhland and Therasirus, renowned as a continent-wide trade hub. The monarchy and clergy were overthrown after the king squandered state wealth on a high-class prostitute, who later became the de facto ruler and established a presidential republic. The deposed king and his exiled nobles formed a Government-in-Exile in an attempt to reclaim power.
Oceanland
An underwater merfolk kingdom situated on the southern continental shelf of Valoria. A secretive, insular realm known only through sailor folklore and rare trading interactions.
Pearlia
A bustling island port between Valoria and Aurora, famed for its role as a major commercial center. It boasts an advanced democracy, a multicultural society, and is a hub for progressive movements—primarily in business, finance, banking, governance, and securities, rather than social issues like feminism or LGBT rights.
Alliance of Thousand Kingdoms
A federation of countless dwarf city-states and settlements in Valoria's Great Northern Peninsula. It is renowned for its subterranean cities and its highly developed metallurgy and mining industries.
