A month has passed since the Moryo betrayal mission.
Eiji and the others was able to escape the city and the kingdom itself because of the sheer destructiveness of the fight between Yamada and Gautam.
Their ki's clashed and caused so much destruction that it hindered the swordsmen of the kingdom of Dawn's to bring aid.
It even caused the normal and low leveled swordsmen to drop unconscious, unable to wake up for days!
Gautam managed to caught up to them as they escaped from the city.
Gautam then fainted after seeing their figures, which made the journey back home longer and dangerous.
They were on edge for 4 days until they arrived in the Capital, Hurricane City.
Eiji was unconscious the whole time.
He woke up a week after arriving and reported what he had heard from Yamada, the Grandmaster, and from that young man.
Commander Sadou had marked the mission as a success.
It was actually more of half success and half failure, they managed to kill the intended targets, but they hadn't been able to take back the stolen goods and money as well as the full information as to why the Kusanagi kingdom was starting a rather strange attack at them.
They were then given an indefinite time of rest.
Eiji was given a full month of full rest, after that he can go back to the department to train or just rest...
While Marco and Akai was just given a full week's time of rest, after that, they had to train back again until Eiji gets back to his full health.
Marco and Akai didn't have any intention of slacking off though.
Especially Marco, he had seen the near sacrifice of Gautam, Koji and Kato.
He had seen the grit and determination of Eiji in front of a seemingly untouchable enemy.
He understood that he was still very very weak in front of the whole world, so he trained hard until he dropped to his knees.
On the other side. Akai also felt the danger of the mission.
He had also seen the others willingness to sacrifice themselves.
He had not seen what Eiji had done but he was told about it by Gautam and Marco, and he himself knew that he wouldn't be able to move a muscle in fear in front of such power, much less able to attack back at them and even managing to injure the other party.
Both knew that they still had a long long way, the recent breakthrough of their power levels had inflated their egos and now reality had slapped them in the face as hard as possible!
So just like that, they spent the next few weeks dedicated to training and honing their skills and enhancing their willpower!
Gautam had known about the two's maniacal training and suggested them to rest.
Too much training would just wreck their bodies.
He was happy about their enthusiasm in pursuit to strength but this was too much right now.
Gautam knew they were lucky, they were lucky that no one died, and especially lucky to escape!
Even his breakthrough, could be said to be part luck, so he understood the fear of the two and would sometimes oversee their training.
---
Eiji and his Master talked with each other after he woke up.
He told him what happened in the mission as well as using his sword intent in the fight.
Muri just smiled at Eiji's worried face, he then told him that it was better to use his full power when in front of such an enemy than getting killed because of holding back!
As for the worry that an enemy kingdom had the information about Eiji's sword intent..
Well.... Now, Muri decided to resign of his teaching career and went back to the department.
He started taking mission in the past month and was always looking intel about the Kusanagi kingdom and the Sword Of Freedom group.
Muri wasn't worried about the Kusanagi kingdom, it was the group of lunatics in the Sword Of Freedom he was afraid of!
He had known and seen what legnths they had done to just take a magic sword as well as specimen of a noble clan with a powerful Blood Sword Power!
And that group of lunatics are always looking after the concept of Sword Intent!
And in order to protect Eiji, Muri knew he had to prepare and get back in shape in case anything bad happens.
Although with a God looking down on them in this era, they wouldn't be afraid of war, but that doesn't mean that they can't do despicable means to acquire Eiji.
Muri, Gautam and the others also understood that regardless of how much powerful they are right now, how talented, it was a fact that they were still eleven year old kids.
And it is the duty of their parents, Gaurdians and the kingdom itself to protect their citizens and the children!
